Haha... you finally answered my question! Interesting choice for the chipper. I use a Maltby MAX Milled in my "mixed bag". Love it. When you took that putter cover off I breathed a sigh of relief.

I like your chipper. Great idea, I might have to build me one too.

Great video. I'm looking to move to the ZX4's. I thought about a blended set with the ZX5's, but felt I needed the most forgiveness as possible. Also considering weakening the loft a degree to better fit my existing wedges and help getting a little more height.

That combo set is the DREAMMMMM. I think I’d have it split at the 7i but the lofts are where id want them too. Great WITB

Somelone else who only goes with the 4 wood! With only 14 clubs, and I'm wedge heavy, going for a single middle-of-everything fairway wood is what I was planning for this year. Last year I only used the 5w. Tomorrow I'm going for a full fitting and getting an entirely new set from wedges to driver. I won't feel quite so crazy doing the 4w only plan.

I also shorten my driver and 4 wood Ajay. Those irons look pretty fancy. I am currently trying out a long putter with a mallet head that I can put with a normal grip or on a long lag putts I can use it as a reverse armlock putter for better distance control.

The idea of a 4w instead of a 3w and 5w makes sense. I have a large gap between the driver and 5w. I just to find a suitable lefty 4w.

Nice WITB thinking about that iron set up for the season. Also off track a bit but those are sweet grey puma golf shoes at the end while putting, what style ?

Question about the wedge shafts: so when you say using the 8i shaft in the wedges, if I play TT DG R300 taper tip shafts in my irons I would use the 8i taper tip in SW and LW? Does this "Tiger flighted" wedge shaft trick work with taper tip shafts or only parallel? Is this not just the same as "soft stepping" the wedges? Seems counterintuitive that this would produce lower trajectory in wedges?

How does the offset in the zx5 compare to 101 or 201 in takomo. I currently game the zx5 in aerotech steelfiber but find my weak shot or bad iron is a pull. I think I'm fighting the zx5 offset
@EFGMC2 ай бұрын
The ZX5 has very little offset compared to similar style heads. The 101 has more and I believe the 201 also shows more offset. The other issue could be the lie angle being too upright leading to pulled shots.

The problem with the Rust raw finish is the rust stains rub off-- All over your bag and anything near them.. especially in the tropics.. I prefer the Ping hydro pearl finish.. no worries..and last a lot longer .. just my 5 cents..

Do you ever find any gapping issues in the long end with your ZX5 Mk IIs? I’m about the same speed as you and found I could replace both the 4 and 5 irons with a ZX4 Mk II 5 iron. I just hate that at standard set-up, the ZX5s only have 2 degrees difference from the 4 to 5 irons and 3 degrees from 5 to 6. I love sets like the Mizuno JPX 921 SEL, the lefty-only blended set that had even 4 degree gaps throughout the whole thing. I’d rather have slightly wider gaps on the long end, rather than bunching on irons where I’m more realistically just trying to hit the green, or one half of the green, vs. going at the flag with shorter irons. Just my preference, but I was curious about your thoughts on this as well, since your set-up is obviously very carefully considered! Thanks for taking the time.

I really use the 4i as a tee off club more than anything else. Actually now that I think about it, I do have 3 degrees from 3 to 4 because I added the 4i later and didn't adjust the loft weaker like I did with the rest of the ZX5s.

I'm curious as to why you went with the Zx5s from the 8 iron down when I've seen you successfully hit much less forgiving irons.

Took my own advise. Never seen anyone complain that a golf club is too easy to hit.

I’m curious why you didn’t soft step the Project X shaft for your wedges.
@EFGMC9 ай бұрын
These wedges came before the irons and the shafts were specced off my DG 120 S400 iron shafts. Didn't see a reason to change when I changed irons so that's why these are here.
@-What-are-your-thoughts9 ай бұрын
@@EFGMC … I just read an article yesterday on the wedges the tour pros play. A lot of them obviously use different heads but they “ALL” had the same shafts, the Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400. So you clearly have the right shafts in them lol.

I thought you were a Tokomo man, why the switch to Srixon? Don't get me wrong, Srixon makes excellent clubs, especially their irons. I'm looking closely at them for my full bag fitting this year, minus my Scotty Cameron putter, that will never change. Cheers.

Still like Takomo but was bagging a set of Sub70 659MB, CB combo before these. Didn't help that I some how lost my 201 5 iron.🙁
