Odd, I have the M-48 and it flips fantastic

Hmmm I had an M-48 loaned in when they first came out, it was a really poor example. This is similar to the M-48 but a bit bigger and beefier.

I’ve handled a few m48’s. The majority would not flip open. Same thing with my swift FL. I fixed it by actually tuning the pivot. It was massively over tight.

it's a shame. in my humble opinion medford makes GORGEOUS knives, including this one. I've handled many, (there's a gun store near me that has inventory on them). and, I own one, (manual smooth criminal). the action on every medford flipper that I've handled sucks, real bad!!, including and especially mine. in addition my blade is not centered, and the spine on the right side of the backspace is not tight like the left side is. so, why do I keep it? because it's GORGEOUS. but, I won't buy another one.

IMO if you don't have anything interesting to add more about it, it doesn't deserve more attention. Other knives that aren't your ballpark have been a lot more constructive / interesting / discussion encouraging. And with Medford's infamy, yeah...
