Jake looked just like a little kid at first when he stumbled around and called it a rescue. Even backing away from you when you started raising your voice and crossing his arms ready for the argument. ...you could just see his wheels spinning. Awww I always feel for babies with cones. I've seen some vets have these soft fabric neck collars. I heard some fosters put onezies on kitties instead of the cones. It's funny, Jami, guys never ask questions.

The kitties cones are hilarious. Ours was a thin blue material and it was too long or my kittens legs were short so they kept tripping over it. Absolutely adorable.

I had a cat named Rudy. He was a handful. I put him in one of those wax boxes to take to the vet for shots. Before i got down the drive he took his nails a ripped the box open and was wild in my car. So we didnt make it to the vet that day. Lol.

OMG lmao the girls are flirting with you Jake lol!!! He is so dang cute. My sister and I will fix male cats even if they are just a neighbors cat who is neglected. We can get a coupon and drive to a travel trailer set up somewhere out in the boonies where a dedicated vet does multiple spays and neuters in a day. Thank goodness for anyone helping to reduce unwanted strays. 'Conehead' hmmm I like that better than 'Cone of Shame'. Sorry, cats do not do well under anesthesia but are hilarious when coming to lol.

5-7 days with the cones. Incision should lay dry and flat. If you see a tiny dime size lump that’s normal. Anything larger should be checked. Neighbors shouldn’t be cleaning each other’s incisions. No licking, no jumping! Love on them. 💕💕💕😅

My two definitely didn’t last much more than the ride home in their cones. But they were actually really good not having them on. I thought it’d be a constant battle, but my boys surprised me. I certainly wasn’t looking forward to the possibility of having to put them back on! Thank God I never needed to. They certainly would’ve had wayyyyy too much fun tearing my arms and hands up if I’d tried. Lol!!!

Awww poor kitties. We were told the cones had to stay on for a week but took them off after 2 days. Female cats should not be picked up stretched out like Jake did as it pulls on the internal stitches. I own 8 cats by the way😺 I think what you all do is wonderful for all the animals.

Sounds exactly like my husband. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Doesn’t get any better after the kids go to the pediatrician either. So I’m guessing poor B Grace is learning quickly to pay close attention so she can help him retain the info. 😂 Don’t get me wrong, my husband is an amazing father and I get the impression Jake is too (he reminds me a lot of my dad) but it’s the whole verbalizing the things that are retained in the maze of their brains that completely get lost in translation. They instinctually file away what’s important but can’t tell you what it is to save their life.

5 rescue cats old farmhouse they have torn up wood on all doorways and other things. No more when they are gone. Even though they tear up stuff still love them. Last rescue showed up 2 years ago came onto porch open we ound on chest infected brought him in cleaned him up antibiotic ointment lots of love and care. Box on porch with comforter food and water. Got better weather got bad snow extra cold Temps brought him in. He drinks with his paw!! Bites a piece of blanket turns around a few times kneads and Sickles blanket. Had him neutered his name is Inky. Jami and Jake love your compassion ❤ God bless

I watch all 5 channels of Marrows all the time. I just dont talk. Glad you're all ok. Just holding my breath and praying hard. Tonight in Wisconsin, we're looking forward to seeing bad storms with 60+ mile per hour winds. We'll see what happens. We're still at 50° so... I have no shelter. Jami I know how you feel about the cone. I had an angry little lamp for 10 days. I wish it would let you post pictures I would, his name is Stevie. He was a feral kitten outside around my house. He's right eye ruptured and his left eye is frosted over so he can't see very well out of it. He's doing so much better now, I've moved him inside with my cats. He's had his shots, been fixed and had his ruptured eye cleaned and sealed (that's why he had to wear the cone). It hurt my heart to see him try to sleep in that cone after everything he'd been through, but he's a love bug he wants 10 pets for every 1 that you give the other cats.

I remember when my cat, Betty came home drug drunk with a cone head. She walked two steps out of the carrier, fell over on her side, tried again, then just went to sleep where she fell over. Our two dogs, got on either side of her and stayed there until she woke up. Animals do worry about each other.
