Love using FCPX for my golf vlogs. And Epidemic sound is a must. I rock the Canon EOS R with 15-30mm lens.

This is great content! This channel needs more recognition just for the production value alone. I'm about to start vlogging / filmmaking as well and this video helped me out greatly!

So happy I came to your channel. I'm at that 3k mark for subs... and I wanted to take the next step and i've been using my Samsung galaxy..... That smaller camera is clutch. I am using a stand alone 4 foot tripod to hold my camera. My Mic is attached into the camera BUT I can only use it for 13 holes because it drains the battery lift of my phone! Yikes!

This is amazing content. I have been vlogging on my channel for almost a year and I have been using the Canon M50 with standard lens, and a Rode mic. I have recently started to work on adding more of my Golf progress into my channel and this video has given me some great tips. Keep making the content, and thanks for the help!

Great content, Tyson. Your channel is totally under rated. Can you make an update video on how you do your vlog now? Have you changed equipment as far as cutting down on gears and keep it at the minimum?

great video mate. As an undated version what do you think or the Sony ZV E10 as an all rounder camera?

I’ve never shot video before and Im filming an upcoming golf trip for a group of friends. I wasn’t sure what equipment I’d need to buy for the course for my DSLR so this was such a helpful video you have no idea. Hope you got referral kickbacks from some of the items I just purchased. Subscribed and I’m going to look at more of your videos to see if I can learn a tip or two before it’s go time. Thanks a bunch ⛳️

Great video Tyson, thanks! Makes me realise how clueless i am when it comes to photography...i do all my filming on my iPhone 11, use either a shotgun or wireless rode mic basic lighting and edit in iMovie. I love the look you create in that studio...you‘ve inspired me to do better!

Thanks! Some of this video was shot on my iPhone 11! When you want to record your cameras and realize as your setting it up that you don't have a 3rd camera... haha. iMovie is great! Its what I used for a long time. FCPX has more range with transitions, timing, and clipping so I moved up. If you're good at iMovie, moving up to FCPX is a breeze.

Seeking Birdies Golf appreciate the reply! I’m going to try out the filmic pro app on iPhone to see if it bridges that gap between phone and professional camera

Pls help, trying to figure out how to mount my a660 on ANY part of a golf cart, just to take it from hole to hole without holding it or stowing it away. Would/could that gimble thing wrap around the sidebars that hold the windshield panel in place? Maybe by the mirror where the mirror bar connects to the side bar?

great stuff I use the same drone too. about to upgrade from using my phone to the m50. thanks for the tips.

Nice! You will love the M50, it has a lot of features for the price! It’s my go to camera at this point. Buy 2 extra batteries, it’s about 2 batteries per round of 18. Good luck and thanks for watching!

Looking to start a channel like this. I have a Nikon d3300 with a 16-300 lens. I think it should be fairly good for an on course camera. How much content do you find yourself filming during an average round and how many batteries do you find yourself going through? Appreciate the time! Thanks.

Great vid. with the drone, idk where you live, but do you need/have a permit for your drone? do you have to get any kind of permission from the golf course to record? thanks!

Also, I don't wanna be that guy but I think you may how found your own lil niche. There are a lot of small golf channels like mine/Divot Dudes etc.... and we know how to create great content but we have NO idea about the tech... best angles on a course... how... why you're setting up certain angles and how to get the most on a course. May want to look into that. I was just blown away with what ammunition you have at your disposal to create golf content to the point where I am going to look for drones.... Will probably crash it lol.

Can you share your setting on the m50 for the course? Do you film in 60fps and 1/120th.

Would you have any recommendations for micro4/3 lenses that are good for on course videography?
@SeekingBirdiesGolf3 жыл бұрын
I'm not familiar with 4/3 camera gear. I shoot either APS-C or Full Frame. A lens with image stabilization and the equivalent to a 16-24mm would be good for on-course(selfie style) and then anything like a 50mm for B-Roll and shots of scenery would be good. I wish I could help more!

Sony a7 3 with a 24 mm zoom lens good for filming?
@SeekingBirdiesGolf3 жыл бұрын
I have never worked with Sony camera but I know of a few people that use them and swear by them. I have always been a Canon person, so I'm a little nearsighted when it comes to different options.

Sorry man. Just get a light weight tripod or monopod for your iPhone that’s already in your pocket. All of this gear is totally overkill, especially for someone new to filming.
