@@junkfoodguy one subsection of a highly profitable revenue stream? That’s like saying I’m going to give you a slice of the pie (market share), and that slice will be so small you cannot resell it, innovate it, repackage it, and I control the manufacturing and marketing of that pie. It’s a very sleazy business tactic

@@junkfoodguy yes all fingers point to government. That is my point. It’s not a free-market. Why can’t you own a convenience store and sell alcohol? The revenue from that would incentivize small business owners.

lol this is an awful deal for the Government & Taxpayers. No LCBO store closures for three years. So all those strip plazas with all three of an LCBO, The Beer Store and a convenience store near a gas station or grocery store will be eating each other’s sales. lol if the LCBO location can’t manage to cover its labor and fixed costs because of reduced revenue who do you think makes it whole? The Taxpayers. Ford has basically agreed to turn the LCBO into another Canada Post.😂😂 This just confirms to me he signed a bad deal like his deal to pay off The Beer Store with $250m+ in taxpayer cash to break their existing contract early. Ford wants to call an early election this Fall or next Spring/Summer at all costs because he thinks people will give him a new majority mandate because they can buy booze at more places. What a joke.😂😂

This strike ended up being a blessing. Alcohol consumption decreased significantly and people got a chance to "de tox." Let us endeavor to glimpse at the light which silhouettes the stars instead of the darkness which fuels our hearts. For some, yes. They likely DID go through a detox period. However, I know people who live in the Barrie & Angus areas. They complained that non-locals drove north to clear their convenience stores of the shelves of alcohol. Those closer to the border probably headed to the US. Also, I would not be surprised it some placed some online orders for booze or bought a bunch of stuff before the strike began

This is hilarious. Unions were important when there were no employment laws. This is no longer the environment. Upgrade your skills if you’re worried, don’t strike and demand more for lacklustre contribution to the economy.
