"not even light can escape it". Literally every Black Hole video has that line.
@bobwood2030
@bobwood2030 25 күн бұрын
The funny thing is its so rarely explained right. Light famously doesn't have mass, therefore the blackhole cant pull it at all. The black hole actually warps space and the light is just trying to go in a strait line. In other words its not that light cant escape the event horizon of a black hole, its that every direction inside the event horizon actually leads to the singularity. All directions in space bend towards it.

And there's no solid proof of a star turning into black holes and there's no solid proof of black hole digesting everything. I mean no one saw these events not even NASA. So we can't believe these theories. What I believe is black holes are misconceptions. None of the religious books ever mentioned back holes or anything like that. Hmm .. but black holes could be truth if the scientists could show real proof of those hole like images digesting anything and everything. We ain't got no proof.

I was told once some scientists suggest we understand about 4% of the universe. However that must be an exaggeration, because no one knows what they don’t know so how could anyone know the percentage of something unknown.
@nicholasc6876
@nicholasc6876 24 күн бұрын
They may be referencing dark energy and dark matter which account for 95% of the gravity and energy of the Universe but can't be directly observed and as of today we don't know what they are. The other 5% is the matter we do see (Stars, Galaxies, Black Holes). But you're right, we can't put a percentage on total understanding.

IMO, Big bangs are on the other side of the black holes. In other words black holes are the origins of big bangs and vice-versa, like the dance of the waves eternally. New big bangs are offsprings of previous big bangs.

This question challenges our understanding of physics and the very fabric of the universe. Inside a black hole, it is believed that matter is crushed into a singularity a point of infinite density where the known laws of physics break down. At this point, both time and space cease to function as we understand them, and the force of gravity becomes overwhelming. But is the singularity the final answer, or could there be something even more mysterious beyond the event horizon, the point of no return for anything that crosses it? Some theories, like quantum gravity, suggest that the singularity might not be a simple point of infinite density, but instead, a more complex and unknown structure. Others speculate that black holes could be gateways to other dimensions or even parallel universes. The truth remains one of the greatest cosmic enigmas, and solving it might fundamentally change our understanding of the universe. What do you think could be hidden inside a black hole?

Wait a minute. As I understand it, the event horizon is just the limit where the escape velocity is the speed of light in a ballistic orbit. But if you can accelerate and it's no longer just ballistic, you can still escape right? Like you can escape Earth if you accelerate with a rocket. You don't need to reach the escape velocity to escape as long as you're accelerating.

If Massive Objects curve Spacetime as is claimed by theory of Relativity, then this raises serious questions about the Shape of the Universe. Because we have Massive objects (Stars) which are much bigger than our own sun all present in all parts of our universe. this means Spacetime must be getting Curved almost everywhere in the Universe, so I wonder what really would be the actual SHAPE of our Universe????

People black holes have no flow of time. Inside the black hole is exactly what was there when it formed, mostly neutronium. Anything beyond that that slide beyond the event horizon is still exactly there, from our timeframe. It isnt even the density of neutron matter in most cases. Densest stuff you would ever find inside an event horizon is a quark gluon plasma. Not even strangelets can form anywhere in this universe. No singularity can ever form in billions of years, the universe sensors singularity by simple halting time anywhere they could. A theoretical ball of neutronium the mass of Sag,*A is a few thousand kilometers big. That,s a speck barely perceptible in the corresponding event horizon. NO singularity needed.

The singularity at the heart of a black hole is not coeval with the rest of the universe. Observers who are outside the collapse, being at rest in a static reference frame, can never observe the formation of the singularity. For us, it would only happen at the end of time, at the end of the universe.

Corrections: The universe has been embedded in spacetime since its inception. One could argue that the universe _is_ spacetime containing a sprinkling of matter. Equations do not prove, they predict. Sir Penrose's work was absolutely brilliant, but proof only came when we first observed a black hole. We still have a lot to learn, including: 1. Why anything exists, that is, how did ordinary matter come to outnumber antimatter in the big bang? We may never know, because we cannot reproduce the big bang. 2. How can we reconcile quantum mechanics, the theory of the tiny, with general relativity, the theory of the vast. Even though they describe the same universe, they are completely incompatible. 3. Why, oh why is mathematics, an arbitrary abstract construction, so useful?

@@hari4406 the question is why any _matter_ exists when we would expect the big bang to create the same number of particles and antiparticles (e.g. electrons and positrons). Basically black hole takes everything inside, but a white hole(which can prove mathamatically but currently not exist in our universe ) which puts away everything... To a new parallel universe... So inside a black hole is the starting point for a white hole. Just like stuff inside black hole cant escape, stuff inside white hole will be pushed away....

@@nic.h I think those are amongst the oldest things still around in the universe today aren't they? Considering that many upon many stars have come and gone since the beginning of the universe.

@@skycloud4802 So far they are only theorized. They also thought to evaporate relatively quickly, at least in astronomical scales. So we have to look back a fair way to have any chance of detecting them. At least that's what I vaguely remember from PBS Space Time. :) For reference the upload was called "Do Black Holes Have to Be Black?"
