it looks very neat without the cover. it's a pity it was no longer safe to use. hopefully they'll bolster that portion of it a bit

What does the "air" screw on the reservoir do?

It's basically an air trap. You can drip Hydro' fluid into it to displace air. Quoting from page 9 of the: Disc-Series_User-Manual_V2.0_EN *In order to get a better brake feel, we need to continue to adjust the oil injection:* a. Tighten the oil filling screw and unscrew the exhaust screw (Air). b. Use a needle oiler to inject a small amount of oil into the vent hole. (add the oil little by little until all the air inside is exhausted) c. Do not forcefully press the brake lever when injecting oil, otherwise oil may overflow. After observing that the exhaust hole is filled with oil, tighten the exhaust screw If the brake feel deteriorates after a period of use, this method can be used to adjust it again. I found what works better is: Prep a syringe, remove the screw, gently squeeze the lever until the oil comes to the top, attach the syringe, and slowly release the lever while applying LIGHT pressure to the plunger, remove syringe, re-install screw.

Had the same issue, replaced with a new one from Ltwoo and assembled with a tiny piece of sandpaper on the contact area, the grip issue against the handlebar now is resolved. But Ltwoo has changed shifting mechanism, no more multi release available. The shifting performance is terrible, imprecise. Ltwoo is a piece of crap, nerver more.
