I have a Isuzu NQR diesel 5.2 motor. 4 cylinder. 2009. My box truck doesn't have the DPF system period, .My point here is, that I need a Diesel Catalytic Converter 3 inches, with a good flow. .Thanx.. J C.

I have a question that I have asked magnaflow nearly a dozen times with no response. What is the standard operating temperatures of this converter I ordered one through you guys last year. I don't think I'm even close to operating temperature at 240f on a 100+ degree day. I have tried exhaust wrapping and got closer to 400, I'm going to try marine type insulation next but would like to know a max temperature recommendation. It seems like 5" pipe on a 7.3 isn't nearly enough to get these hot.

Best way to know without the internal temp is to measure the input/output temps. If the temp exiting the doc/cat is not at least 100F higher than the input after some highway driving, then it is not working correctly. If the temps are the same, then it is either dead, or far too cold. If the input temp is higher than the output, then the doc/cat is clogged. I typically like to see about 160F higher. So if the input was 300F, the output should be at least 460F.

@@kentrushton6135 Okay thank you, I think some insulation may be necessary then, as I cannot get any closer to the turbo. I'm showing same output temps and input usually right around 240 in and out.. Only had it on for about 5 months, I really appreciate your reply.
