Love this scale, i have had one since 2014, 8 years and still going strong, It had a fault from day 1, it doesn't auto switch off, it stays on all the time, i used it for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week for at least 7 years, So the fault is perfect for me, no need to keep switching it on, It runs on AA batteries x 2, i use Duracell and the batteries last a whole year even when on 5 hours a day, the Pound Shop do 2 Duracell batteries for £1, or Aldi 4 for £1.79, rechargeables are OK but they are only 1.2 volts instead of 1.5 volts, and will only last weeks or months, If the auto switch off worked you would get far more life from the batteries, Constantly turning it on after auto switch off will wear out the On / Off switch more though.

Voltage solution ac to dc adapter or dc to dc converter module. Auto switch off problem solution putting a simple dc switch on the positive side of power source. East or West diy is the best

There is one extremely annyoing thing with this scale, the auto power off function. If you take too long when you are mixing your ingredients, the scale shuts off on you and you have to start over again. Is it possible to identify which component on the circuit board that is responsible for the auto shut off function, and somehow disable it so that the scale will stay on until you press the power off button?

Alfredo Vicente just open a sticker under the digital scale, and there is any screws, pair it until firm again.

There are some screws under the sticker on the back, try tightening them..

hey can i ask you question? i just bought digital kitchen scale the tiamo replica, digital kitchen cofee scale, with 0,1gr accuracy, oz/ml,pound,gr convertion. with timer and multi function, the lcd backlight its on, but it doesn't show the digits/number. i already disassembeled it, and i see everything soldered nicely, theres no cables off.can you help me pointing what the problem is?

You could check if the batteries are making good contact and the unit is receiving power, or just return it if still under warranty.

the batteries are fine i think, because otherwise it would turn on, the backlight are on, but it doesn't show any digits. unfortunately the warranty are void because i try to fix it myself and open the warranty seal.

Maybe you could try cleaning the LCD rubber connector. If u purchased online, u can still return it, nobody checks for the seal..
