I've been playing in the Zion 1 for over a year now. Priorities for me included cushion/bounce, comfort, stability, cost, and light weight. These have been surprisingly solid in all my main priorities for a hoop shoe. My body has felt less wear and tear playing with these shoes - which is ultimately my goal being an older player. I like them so much I ordered a back up pair to keep for when these fall apart - but over a year in with regular use and they are holding up great. I expect to get another year or two out of this first pair.

Had them played about 3 months outdoor I'm 6'3 and they kept up but on one landing after a shot the air strobel unit in the right shoe popped and turned into one huge air bubble ... Thankfully nike accepted a return on em.

Nike has the best return policy on their shoes. They have warranty up to 2 years I believe
@orangetweleve2 жыл бұрын
@@Bliu2th actually 2 years if the shoes are unworn and new, but for worn shoes they will only accept 6 months since delivery date, speaking from experience lol. But still that's a ton of time to test your shoes or just hold on to them! also, I've been abusing their return policy by just buying any ball shoes I wanna try out and beat the hell out of them (not literally) then send them back in for returns (of course I will clean out dirt on the outsole and whatnot cuz I ain't no filthy animal!) and never had any trouble doing it! If I really love a pair I will keep them. It's a lot of fun!

Kd 14s are solid , pg 6 weren’t so good, fit was good but when I did hard lateral movements, foot practically would be fall out to the side in the front. Don’t know if that’s because of the material but yeah, and right now last 3 days I been balling in the all city 10s , they have been the best so far, cushioning is great, bounce, fit, material premium compare to the crap Nike makes now, will last you for a long time , great for indoors and outdoors, traction is good. Good all around shoe , my number one right now . It’s 150 on Amazon , definitely recommend, and they will last longer than these Nike shoes etc.

@@FootDoctorZach no toes were stepped on in my opinion I think some people are just intimidated by your intelligence. Plus I imagine they’re also jealous they didn’t think of it first. I mean cutting the shoe to actually dissect the tech. Not saying you did this first, but I feel the way you do it is so effective, especially the way you relate the tech to how it performs. Overall I feel that you’re educating us with the science of the sneakers you review and I truly enjoy. Maybe I’m just a total nerd 😆

@nindokwan2 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend going up half a size?
@songasa99132 жыл бұрын
@@nindokwan Yes, unless you want a very tight toebox and you are narrow footed. Many Nike Basketball and running shoes have become more tight or especially narrow in the toe box in the last several years. Some players like this, especially guards. I am a standard D width and I sometimes go up 1/2 size. I would also recommend going up if you replace the insole as most of these insoles aren't worth much.

I’d make an argument abt the durability of the traction, the traction doesnt bite as sharp, meaning it wont be corrosive, but you test it on a sandpaper-which grip the rubber and wears it down quickyly, So i guess the 1-1.5mm doesnt sound so bad. In addition, the shoes seem to have alot of compression when you stop or change direction, so i think it helps with the traction being wearing down less? Usually if you have some source of feedback after using the shoes, it would really make the review conclusive, i hope you can get someone to officially test shoes to its limit n trash them on court😂

I have 2 pairs of these shoes...and have had my first pair since October. I'm a lightweight shifty player with an above average jump shot. I don't mind the Zion1 and wore it in a few league games last season...I had a pair of VK carbon fiber insoles in them. The shoe was fun to play in and you don't feel slow in the Zion. There was no drop off in performance in regard to game productivity...that being said since I'm lightweight (143lbs) & undersized at 6'0. I've always played in the backcourt as a SG each and every season. I relied on Ky7's and Curry8's this past season as my "main" game shoes. I also wore the Drose Son of Chi and DON issue 3 in games. I prefer the Zion1 as a trainer though..but am not using the shoes at the moment. The DON issue 3 / PUMA RS dreamer are my training shoes as of this week.
