I like that Scotty gave the advice to start small with vehicles, and build from there. I think people often forget that the GM doesn't automatically know all of the rules. The Karma Kaptain thing is good because giving players responsibility increases involvement, makes players have to interact with each other, and takes some load off the GM. This reminds me of the concept of the Caller from old D&D.

I think my favorite part about the original EZD6 wasn't so much the game, but just his constant sprinkle of advice throughout it. It really helped my GMing for sure. His trick about asking the player to just "not roll a 1" is so much fun. Although, "the Caller" does sound pretty cool.

Many players still can't grasp the greatness of the rules light EZ d6 But I as a narrative GM totally get it. The only issue I had with this version is that it had improvements that don't exist in the original fantasy one. Including the random table for missions. We fantasy players demand equity with our cyberpunk brethren.

lol I feel ya. Though I feel like if he had squeezed a lot of this stuff into the first one, it might have turned some people away/off from it because too many rules. And to be fair, it would be a lot to take in at first. But now you can start with regular EZD6 then snag this and take what you want! I'd for sure use the inventory system and the supplies bit, though it'd probably need a little tweaking since you're not expending bullets in the fantasy realm . . . unless . . . 👀

Skrat, you do a great job for those of us who can get too caught up in the small stuff and loose our way. Thank you for the video. EZD6 is a wonderful system, that IMO can be used for some many games. With WW it has become my mechanical replacement for Shadowrun, Deadlands, D&D, All for One: Regime Diabolique and Supers. It is soo easy to explain to people and when I do not know what to do, I just figure out how many dice they have and say "roll 'em".

Well thanks so much! I'm really glad to hear that. I also get lost in the details which is why when I make these videos, I have to write everything down, trim it, write it again, trim it again, and repeat until it's not a 2 hour video and actually gives you what you need in a fair amount of time. The good news is, it's getting easier! But it's still a process/work. EZD6 is fast on all fronts just about. Fast to play, fast to learn, fast to get used to, and fast to convert. I discovered EZD6 back when I was stuck running a 5e campaign. Everybody was playing as a custom race a player had made (and one player as a custom class), and we decided one night to try their characters in a one shot with EZD6. We were all pretty surprised how easily it just flipped over to it and ran so smooth. They were ready to switch systems but I decided to hang in there with 5e more as an experiment so I could have some proper experience to fall on when I start badmouthing it lol

I like that 5e style of play.

Always on the hunt for more post-apocalyptic games/playsets! Particularly love that this one managed to find a way to make inventory management streamlined without having to compromise on the looting/scarcity elements that feel so important to the genre. I'll definitely have to check it out!

Yeah I'm stoked about that part. I've been scratching my head for a while trying to come up with things players can scrounge for. Like all kinds of different scraps they can find to do things with. Never occurred to me to lump it all into one single thing and move on. I'm tellin ya, that man's a genius.

Great review :) and you're right, this is only the third wasted world review I've seen. Spread the lurve!

Thanks! I'm pretty surprised with how little traction it's getting. I honestly thought since EZD6 was kind of known at this point that people would be eager to get into this one. Maybe it'll be one of those things that sits for a little bit then suddenly comes out of nowhere in popularity. Here's hoping!

Wasted world is looking pretty neat! This kind of rules light systems might be the key to adapt settings lacking decent ttrpg adaptations.

100%. EZD6 on its own is already super flexible. Now we have even more things to add to the tool kit. I'll absolutely be using that supplies concept in the future, regardless of setting. Super excited to try it out.

Thanks! The TTRPG review videos are usually pretty fun to do because all the new stuff to share is exciting. The hard part is finding the sweet spot between "I went on for far too long and bored everyone" and "I didn't go long enough and now nobody knows what the game actually has in it". I'm getting there though! And Scotty's stuff is always extra fun to work on.

I've been waiting for a long time to do that one. Just had to wait for the right spot. And what better time than an EZD6 video.

Based beginning. More newbies need to realise D20 system is garbage edit: freakadelic sounds suspiciously close to the word used to describe meatballs.😂😂
@asquirrelplays6 ай бұрын
I'm fine with the d20 as it's easy to work with since it's increments of 5%. It's when you start adding modifiers left and right that makes it terrible for me. Nothing like a good +14 to your roll 💀
