Many thanks for your useful videos on your mantis! I hope to buy a mantis and park it in my garage when I don't hit the road. I would like to know if the mantis can fit into my standard garage. Have you ever tried to park your mantis in your garage? It would be very helpful if you could upload a video to show if it fits. I know the dimension of a mantis but am not sure if it can be done easily. Thanks!!!

Recently found your channel. I'd love your thoughts on the 'comfort' of this camper overall. How are the cushions to sleep on? Passable, or something you'd want to have a memory foam rolled up for good measures? Also, I can't seem to find any information on the bottom bunk. How wide is it?I think the length is 7ft or so, but can't locate the width. Lastly, how does it tow down the highway? Thanks!

Happy to help! As for the cushions, they are passable for sitting on, however, not for sleeping. We have a tri-fold memory mattress for the big bed. Our kids don't mind it (yet), but I'm sure the day is coming where we will add air pads for them. I'm not positive on the width of the bunks, but I can try to find out. As for towing, it pulls extremely easy. We have a 2017 Ford Expedition EL with the 3.5L EcoBoost. It's only ~3K pounds, so it's definitely on the lighter end of trailers this size.

@@TheMantisExperience I really appreciate your responses. I don't know why I couldn't locate the bunk width. I think there are some considerable compromises to be made with this rig but overall, it seems like it would be a blast. My only main concern is the AC unit. I live in the South east part of the country where the heat and humidity can be brutal. You live in Texas, so I'm sure you experience it, too. Have you put the AC through it's paces yet with 90+ degrees and high humidity? Thanks again!

I am from Texas, as you mentioned, and I've lived in the Southeast as well, so I get it. We have used it on some really hot days and nights. It's fine. Not great, not awful. But we have the 2020 model. The 2021 had a significant improvement in both the unit and the design. I've heard it is much better now.

We just got back couple days ago... love PINS! Did you hit soft sand with the trailer? After mile marker 10 or 15 4x4 is almost a must when the sand is soft. My buddy has a little over landing trailer and it whips around pretty good in the soft sand did you experience that?

I didn't go past MM5 with the trailer. It was easy to that point. I drove down to MM15, and I don't think it would have been an issue to get that far with the trailer.

How was driving and towing on the sand? You or any other campers get stuck?

We were 5 miles down. It was extremely easy. I drove 15 miles down without the camper in tow, and I'm 99% sure it would have been very easy to get that far. I only saw one person get stuck, and it was a minivan. Hope that helps!
