He kind of comes off as a sleazeball but hes 100 percent right, thats kind of how it works, especially if you are foreign, czech women romanticize everyone born west of prague. Czech girls need to get drunk so they can blame their garbage morals on alcohol more than anything else. Go for college educated, liberal types, they tend to be the easiest. If thats the kind of women you want to deal with you will find plenty, me personally? I consider any woman that engages in nightlife more than few times a year for recreational use only 😂 if at all, risk of you getting babytrapped or catching something is just not worth it. And czech women have a tendency to be overly annoying and naggy in a relationship, its probably the only tradition they held on to for decades.

I dated different nationalities here being Ukrainian in CZ for last 9 years. There are various backgrounds people raised which means that they are more open minded or more reserved. My Czech partner was texting me every day and we were talking a lot. Some other people like from Italy, they did not want to talk casually. It is really about people’s traumas and backgrounds. Here is more conservative way probably.

My husband is Czech, and from my experience czech people are willing to date foreigners only if the Czech people have lived abroad or met their partner abroad. Because most Czechs don’t value love connection, it’s more practical. They have more of a practical mental checklist, and are willing to deny a love connection that isn’t convenient due to long distance. And being with a foreigner isn’t practical, as many friends have said to us “it’s much easier to date someone whose family lives closer so you don’t have to travel so far.” They don’t care for the passionate and irrational love connection the way other cultures do. My husband lived abroad for 10 years, we met in my home country, not in Czech Republic. I didn’t know anything about Czechs, he was comfortable with open declarations of love and romance and passion the way we are where I’m from. If he behaved more practical and reserved, (and making bad jokes) like the typical Czech guy I’ve met, I probably wouldn’t have been attracted to him. It’s just a cultural thing, I value love and openness and life above all else but I understand that Czechs value practicality and are overall more cynical about every day life. I’m only saying the Czech person who marries a foreigner has different values that align more with the foreigner’s values. We live here now because his work happened here, but he isn’t a typical Czech guy. He is ethnically Jewish and he’s more like a Jewish guy I guess, he’s very respectful, confident and expressive. He isn’t religious, but maybe somehow the behavior was inherited, who knows. The friends we have who are married to foreigners also met their partners abroad and lived in other countries and they aren’t typical Czech people, they are more open with their emotions and more expressive and know how to show love, one is also a Jew, anther is Buddhist, the other is Christian. So maybe the willingness to marry a foreigner also correlates to heritage or religion. And since most Czechs are atheist, they don’t value the ideas of fate and destiny and finding your soul mate, so they don’t care so much about a true romantic connection for eternity, they care more about this practical life and not having to drive too far to see the in-laws. Anyway, I’m happy with my love😊. I believe in fate and soulmates.

As an expat woman living in Prague for 12 years, I’m watching this video just to get more insight, because in 12 years I only had 1st and last dates here in Prague… I would think the problem was me, if dating wasn’t so much more interesting and consistent in other countries/cities where I stayed for some time. It’s really bad here for non-Czech women…

I'm a Czech woman and lived abroad for almost 20 years. I don't mind if a man invites and pays fir me. I'd do that too at some point, or I'd bring him something meaningful (a present) after getting to know him a little. I'm straight forward but not in a rude way as Czech people appear to be, I take more of a diplomatic approach I learnt abroad. I'm not on time..haha I'm the last punctual Czech woman you'll ever meet (: I'm very open minded, I love hugging people, I love fun and openess. There's always time for serious Qs. I only dated foreign men for the past 22 years, and currently with a Czech man whom I "accidentally" met while travelling. It is a big difference! He's not as open emotionally and that hurts. Also, he loves being on time... Houston, we have a problem! 😅😅 I love life, I truly know how to be bloody happy and enjoy my life. A lot of Czechs don't.

Well is a Czech I have to say some of these opinions are really personal anecdotes rather than the norm. For instance the part about getting married really young. This is not really common at all among the millennials for instance anymore. The girl asking whether you want kids the next day ... most of the Czech guys will back up as well.

@@KarlosTheMighty well, yes. getting married when you are 25-29 and then start having children (the czech way: one first and the second one 3 years later before the maternity leave ends XD ) is not the norm in the urban western world now. It seems that "really young" is a subjective concept haha so you probably thought early twenties. And I def agree, people in cz are not starting families when they are 21

Czech is definitely very different from Germany too then, even if it shares a border. Here people also get married late, if at all. And women also like that 'independent' thing with sharing bills etc. I have to disagree with the Canadian guy with approaching women on the streets in Europe. At least here in Germany they generally don't like it at all, I would say they are even less open than in the US. Maybe in the Czech Republic that's different too.

I think the french guy is speaking from a perspective of a colour person because it is not usually so important for czech girls to know your work role..on the contrary in France it is always like 2nd question "what do you do" and people immidiately sort you out to the imaginary box based on your reply while czech people are less judgemental and they migh ask you about your job much later... I think in his case a racism steps in the game because there is still a lot of prejudice amongst czechs and they expect black men to be more likely criminals or drug dealers so they are just trying to find out if he is a "decent" guy ...Otherwise from my perspective as a czech girl in her 37 y.o. I can confirm: punctual yes...proper courtship with dinner and flowers yes..if its just hookup then clear communication about it and "black and white " like the lady said so straight forwardness yes, kids and marriage not for me but yes for most of myczech friends so yes ... and i have been for 8 years in a happy loving relationship with foreigner so it can work with Czechs too:) and having to spend each weekend on the cottage with family thats a totall bullshit:) its very very indiviual how czechs spend their weekends

The comment on the flower, pay-for-dinner expectation is actually only partially right, and largely depends on the social niche you land into. Czech society in Prague is not so traditional, especially in younger generation, Czech girls will def pay for themselves and will not expect their bill to be covered lol
