Sooo what's it actually like living in some of the most popular cities in the Coachella Valley such as Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and Indian Wells right now in 2024?! Tune in to this video to find out all the information you need to know about what life is like in the Coachella Valley, CA!
In this video, I dive right into what some of the most important things are that you need to know about living in Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, or Indian Wells.
The truth is the weather here in Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and Indian Wells is some of the best weather you could ever ask for about 8 months of the year and I call this “perfect weather” temperatures. We have sunny days about 90% of the year with almost no humidity, EVER. During our season here in the Coachella Valley, temperatures are about 70-75 degrees during the day and a nice cool 50-60 degrees in the evening.
The entire Coachella Valley is surrounded by the San Jacinto mountains and absolutely stunning desert landscapes as well as beautiful green belts all through the different desert cities. People here in the Coachella Valley really take pride in the beauty of the desert and what it has to offer.
The Coachella Valley is a place with a variety of events and things to do around each town. Whether it's during the week or the weekend, there's always something to do! We have downtown Palm Springs which is always a great time that has a local street fair/farmers market every week and always some kind of activity for both adults and children. There are also the shops on El paseo in Palm Desert that are full of restaurants and activities for the family. Another great new addition to the desert is Acrisure arena which is home to our new minor league hockey team; the Coachella Valley Firebirds. This arena also hosts various concerts and events when hockey isn't going on.
“Are the people nice here?” The truth is the people here are generally very nice and down to earth people especially for some of the reputations sometimes that southern California gets. There are so many families who have relocated here for a better and safer upbringing for their kids; as well as young professionals who want to get out of the hustle and traffic of major cities. Come visit Palm Springs, Indio, La Quinta, Palm Desert, and Indian Wells.. even if just for the weekend!
Real estate has grown a ton in the Coachella Valley for the better. We are still one of the most affordable California regions with some gorgeous neighborhoods. If you are looking for a gated or non-gated community that is family friendly, we have that in multiple ranges of affordability as well as 55 and up communities with all of the amenities and activities you could think of. Also, if you are a solo work from home man or woman we have some great areas with homes from single family starter homes to luxurious condos that have all the bells and whistles in the community you need.
We do however have one major transit bus line that runs all throughout the valley from the east end in Indio all the way through the end of downtown Palm Springs. Most public places are within a short uber or rideshare distance away. Now more than ever those services are in abundance here in the Coachella Valley. There are also plenty of biking and walking trails for shorter distances around town as well.
Over the past few years, the Coachella Valley has really grown economically. The ripple effect from this economic momentum are jobs in the building trades and contracting industries, and more business for landscapers, roofers and restaurants, as well as an uptick for hospitality-related companies. The healthcare industry overall also continues to be a strong economic driver in the region, with ancillary health and wellness-related services and businesses expanding into the Coachella Valley.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you need anything at all and if you are considering relocation, a second home, or looking to invest or even buy your first home here in any city in the Coachella Valley!
