Years ago I bought a Harley from a dealer and was signed up to HOG for a year, never contacted them or became involved as I wasn't interested, the same goes for any other clubs or organizations but that's just me, if other riders want to be a part of any club that's good for them as I 100% support freedom of association regardless of what laws GovCo and their affiliations come up with, live free or die.

I got the jeans and a jacket with the (your) first promo. The jeans are just excellent, and I feel naked in normal jeans on the bike. With the Armour in they are also excellent on the KTM. Been too hot to wear the jacket sadly, but fit and finish is great. Took 2 goes to get the jeans right but customer care is A1.

A very entertaining video. I am a DAN HOG, since last November, and even though I did not attend the Alpine ride, I try to attend as many events as I can. As you said in the video, very well organised group and each and every one of the members I've met have had a positive impact on me. Just back today from a 'Ladies of Harley' ride to Fish Creek in Gippsland. What a hoot as us guys are invited too. I'm maybe a newbie now, though I intend to stay with the Group for as long as I can. Happy days. Thank you, Ayman, for your support.

Problem with HOG is there is always one too many rules to take the fun out of the ride. Oh, and give someone a patch and they turn into a sergeant major policeman. At least I know of 1 HOG chapter that allows you to overtake the lead RC as long as you do it safely and you give him/her the bird as you go past. 😁

Great video. I think it’s important to distinguish there are two separate HOG memberships. Harley-Davidson corporate HOG membership which is usually given a free year when buying a bike or you can join. Then there is the local HOG Chapter that each dealership has a relationship with. We support each other as a group and our dealership. You have to be a Harley-Davidson HOG member before joining a local chapter at the dealership you choose. My wife and I were new riders two years ago and our HOG Chapter embraced us with support and advice to get us started.

I've done tons of HOG rides in the states and been the Safety Officer a couple of times. One thing that I notice different between riding here and in Australia is, the safety officr would get on you here for riding alongside the group, passing people and if you pulled into the other lane and had people passing you, the group would stop to see what was the matter. Staying in the formation is imperative, but that may just be a stateside thing.

They cater to different riding levels so the pack was spread out. I can't get footage without overtaking and was a lot "calmer' in my riding than i usually am in order to not upset the group

30 degrees? It looked more like 86 to me. Oh wait, you meant that Celsius stuff used just about everywhere but here in the States!😂 Anyway, I love riding in the fall and spring, but I'd rather be riding in the heat of mid- summer than dealing with the 12 inches of solid white precip Mother Nature will be gifting us overnight here in New York's Hudson River Valley. BTW, we run into the same "lots of bikes, limited fuel pumps" on our group rides too. I understand that😊 throughout the southern states, there is a large and growing chain called Buc-EE's that offers at least 100 or more fuel pumps at each of their stations. NOT Truck stops, but auto/family restaurant-rest area-fuel stops! Looks like that HOG Chapter could have used one of those.😊

Great video, looks fantastic. I was a DanHog member for many years. I don’t recognise any faces in this video. When I rode with DanHog it was often a race, road laws didn’t exist for most rides, although members were advised to ride at any pace they felt comfortable with, of course keeping up was sort of required 🙄🤷🏻♂️. I did have a great time on the whole, although I didn’t always feel totally accepted. I went through a horrible divorce where I lost my house etc. to my ex. Wife & the bloke she pissed off with. It done my head in totally, & left me homeless, which I still am. I advised the club I was struggling & was basically told to go away. I went away, sold my Harley & became very bitter. I hope things work better now. This is a few years ago now, however I am still pissed off, & still struggling. Thanks for the non existent help. So much for Brotherhood…. Wish you all the best.
