In my humble opinion, it's these vlogity vlogs that give your channel the best edge. Thanks for once again a great video! You gave some nice advice to plenty of us KZbin n00bs like me lol! And that outro is EPIC! But what would be even more epic is the moment you get to 200K subscribers!

That Piston clock is pretty awesome. As for the channel, dude, I am so proud of what you are doing and I love your attitude. You have nailed it & the philosophy is what I do & so many of the committed #KZbinrs. The fans love & Support is fuel enough to keep us going. Just stay grounded, stay you and the rest will flow mate. Kudos. We are truly family.

Your channel, David, is the only channel on KZbin I can come to without seeing hate in the comments section. I absolutely mean it. And it's true. The bigger you get, the more views your video receive. And with that growth, the more hate you get for absolutely no reason. I've been on KZbin since 2009 (not with the channel I'm commenting on, but me as a person) and the transformation of KZbin is insane. It used to be such a nice community. Now it's just trolling, begging for subscribers, spam, and more. But I don't never found that in the comments of any of your videos and I think the reason for that is that you're a good person. You're kind, humble, respectful, and you never bash anyone. A good attitude leads to success, and look at where you are now David. So thank you for being one of the few KZbinrs that are respectful, caring, and humble. And to answer your question: I have a KZbin channel (not this one. This was a second channel where I made etc videos. Now I use it to comment on car videos lol) and I made gaming videos. Even though I tried my hardest, put my best effort, and uploaded a variety of different videos still relating to gaming, I never really got anywhere. Due to school and my job at the time, I had to stop making KZbin videos on that channel. It never got to the heights of success I dreamt about, but it still got somewhere to the point where I can say "I'm proud of what I managed to accomplish." Now I'm looking into photo/cinematography; making those pretty videos and doing photoshoots you see on StanceNation and other car related sites. I would love to do car reviews myself, but unfortunately there aren't many good driving roads here in Toronto. *insert sad face here... not sure why this is bolded... this is awkward...* Anyways, David if you read this entire thing, or anyone to be honest, you're awesome. It's a lot of reading to do, but I appreciate anyone and everyone who takes the time to read my stupid long comments just expressing my opinion. You're all cool people! :)

David speaks the truth! I've actually been subscribed to him since his first couple of videos, when he had only a few hundred, eventually to a thousand and over time a hundred thousand subscribers. It seems when most KZbinrs finally hit some sort of fame, they're really not the same person anymore. They become sort of arrogant, as if they are some how better than others. I've seen this happen a lot. I cant honestly say that David has been as sincere since his first video to now, and I will always think that he'll be the same even after a million subs. I used to be a little insecure in the car world, but after watching your videos, and you responding to my messages, I've really gained a knowledge and know how to start a conversation with other car enthusiasts. I'm still learning, but its so awesome to be apart of this passion. Thanks David!

I agree with most everything you said. Stay real, stay yourself... stay awesome. A true KZbinr starts out having fun, and continues having fun no matter their subscriber count. I have had many positive comments, even at my "level". And that is why you should do it. #1 for your own entertainment. #2 for your subscribers (or, what they really are, kindred spirits). And haters? They are gonna hate... I ignore them unless I want to feed the troll. If you ever make it to Dallas dinner's on me. And if you don't read the comment, great... Saves me a dinner! I am a cheap Dutch bastard after all...

I can't tell you enough how much I look forward to your videos and I am so happy for you on your continued success. I know that all your dreams are starting to really come to light as you said about all your opportunities happening. Thx for being so down to earth and cool and not letting your new found success get to your head and getting this massive ego which can happen to people in your position and they don't even realize it's happening. I really want David to do a vlog talking about the hostility that so many people have between engine size. He kind of did it on the 2015 Ford GT video, but it would definitely be interesting to hear his entire view point on it. I say this because it disgusts me when I see people get so high and mighty on a v6 mustang video. People always bash on the different cars. "Still not a v8, my car could kick your ass, stop trying to look cool".. when it's completely different. And same with the 4cyls. I was a big block lover at first too, until I learned more about the pros and cons of each type of engine and type of car. Rally, drag, track.. and affordable vs completely unrealistic. When people who have never driven the cars talk shit to one another. David plz.

Great video David! I'm personally really starting to get into doing Automotive videos myself and always aim for the highest quality I can with the equipment I have (due to not having money to get something like a T3i haha) I always try and respond to all of my comments and I appreciate that nearly 250 people have at one point liked a video of mine. And it is true that the trick of KZbin is to keep going. Even if you don't get popular right away, just keep doing it. with the right mindset you will get to your goals some day :D

David, you really have an awesome channel. I came to your channel after watching subaruwrxfan review the Smurf and am so glad I did. Your videos look so polished and professional but at the same time casual and fun to watch. I agree with the others in that it's not just the cars but also your personality, like in these vlogs, that make the channel great. I would love to run a car-based KZbin channel but I feel like I don't have the artistic flair or the on-camera personality to make it happen. Keep up the great videos!

Funny you mentioned feeling down, I'm at a really low point in life right now. My uncle who helped me get clean and sober who had 25 years himself, just passed away suddenly this week. It was because of this that I was finally able to get a decent vehicle, it was nothing special but it was mine, it was a slightly lifted and modified nissan frontier. I left my house this morning at 5 am in a blizzard, I live on cape cod and we were headed to the funeral in Maine. Halfway to my brothers I stopped for coffee and text him "sorry I'm running a little behind the roads are unusually bad but I'll be there soon" not five minutes after I got back on the road I lost control of the truck at 50 mph and did everything right to try and regain control and I crossed the yellow line sideways and into a parking lot and hit a 4 foot high timber wall on my front right side and flipped the truck over twice and ended on my passenger side. I had my seat belt on and I was hanging there for 20 minutes before someone finally drove by and stopped. I couldn't see my phone and I couldn't undue my belt due to tension but my tool belt ended up in front so I was able to grab a sheet rock knife and cut myself off, and landed with my head against the broken passenger window. And this good samaritan helped me out because I was leaking gas and was a small fire. He held my head and neck as I fell out the window and dragged me to safety. And luckily a police officer came by in only a few minutes. I was released from the hospital with a small spinal fracture separated shoulder and hip and a tear in my groin. Now I'm home alone due to my entire family being in Maine and put on KZbin and watched this video. And I have to say David, your humble personality and great outlook on everything really lifted me up from the bottom to at least chair height where I can now sit and think about the situation in a different way, and even if you don't respond, I just want to say thank you.

Be that gaming stuff, or Archery stuff. In the long run KZbin is bout having fun right? :)

Well of course you gotta take into account what you're aiming for with your channel. If you don't care much for money, on have a job you already love and do videos on the side, then yeah, you can afford to switch things up a bit. If it's your main income though, I'd say specialize. There's nothing preventing you from making two channels if you really want to cover both

I like your channel, the introduction with the slider and the music (short but sweet) and your way of talking. The videos are entertaining, the roads you have available help (nice background) and some sweet cars (incl. your baby blue Mustang). I do have a KZbin Channel and it grows pretty ok, not the the extend I would like to, but I recently moved countries and had to take a brake to get settled before I can continue. New place, new people and I have to learn about the car culture here now before making the next step. I enjoy doing *CarPorns* (helping another friend with his channel that reached close to 55k subs), creating awesome videos of cars and since a few months creating POV-driving videos of performance cars. That's the goal, to create some day amazing car videos that entertain viewers in a way that they will say, that was a freaking awesome video and I want more! cheers mate, keep doing what you do! Hey David love the vids keep it up. I love the outro you have. But I think it would be really cool if the tire spin part of it was the intro. Then at the end it would continue. Just something to consider maybe. Either way man you're awesome

Great video! So many truths about KZbin... Feels like a jungle yet a huge family. To answer your ending, I am a new youtuber with my channel called Channel C.G.E. which stands for Cars, Guitars, and electronics. Three things I do and enjoy and want to show all out there in the youtube "jungle". God bless as always

I just started motovlogging (motorcycle vlogs) and my goal is to share the fun and passion I have for riding. And I don't expect to grow that big being in a niche genre of videos, and not being able to produce content regularly (winter sucks), but I have fun doing it :P

I just have to admire how much you work! I know when you get to 3 million subs you won't sit in front of the camera doing tag and other meaningless stuff, keep doing what you're doing now! :)

dude ur great... luv ur vids. thank u so much for sharing - believe it or not you've got me thru some tough times lol. I have a similar car and its nice to see someone else who can appreciate it. I'm too shy to share mine - it is modded almost just like urs but is black on black. You should check out the ambient lighting option... its pretty cool if u like night driving.

i'd like to get into making videos where people talk about their own cars. Similar to your reviews but get the owner themselves to talk about it, such as mods, history and anything that may be planned for the future.

Man, im into so many different things I don't know what id do. Probably either some car related or guitar. And my goal would be to broaden the amount of information and help people with things or topics they're struggling with. That's it.
