Id say the only irritating thing with customers is when they call ham “Canadian bacon” or beef “hamburger”. Other than that, I’d recommend working in a corporate owned store, it has much less restrictions on certain things, it’s more relaxed. You’d probably get raises more often than not. However, with less restrictions comes worse product quality. Franchise owned stores have decent pizza quality, better than most corporate owned stores because franchises compete with each other.

As a Domino's driver I agree that it is way more stressful than getting to work inside but you're also making almost twice the money that CSRs are making. Being inside is only worth it when you're a manager, but also being a manager is even more stressful than being a delivery driver.
@kuvisarad77574 жыл бұрын
Pizza delivery guy here too: I agree driving has its pros and cons. For one thing, the money and the freedom is great but not being able to find the address sucks. Make sure your Insurance covers too. Mine does but a lot don’t so if you get in an car crash, then you’d have to pay outta pocket if they find out you were delivering pizza at the time of the Accident

I'm insider and I personally think y'all have it easy. I wish I could've been a driver instead. The drivers here just have to deliver food, take calls, fold up the pizza boxes, cut up pizzas, and do the dishes. Insiders have to do all that already and more. Except the delivery part lol. Some of the drivers I know make better tips than us insiders do just for delivering the food. Had a guy made over $100 in tips. While I got a $5 tip that day.

Best advice I can give as a driver is to only work the dinner rush for 3-4 hours a night, more deliveries per hour, more tips, less wear and tear on your vehicle working short shifts.
@Resologist4 жыл бұрын
Two recommendations for beginners: get a map, (GPS devices fail; paper doesn't need a battery), and get a good (powerful) flashlight, (reading house numbers at night is much easier with a flashlight). Also, I always carry some extra (2-liter size) drinks in my car, which solves problems every month, (like a drink getting left behind in the rush out of the store, or the wrong drink was ordered, (eg. a "Diet Coke" and not a "Coke"). A trip back to my car's trunk is so much shorter and faster than a trip all the way back to the store to "make it right" when that happens.

I’m wondering if you can live off the wage working at Domino’s Pizza full time at 40 hours per week? It seems very difficult making only about $9/hr
@JohnDoe-fr7fr3 жыл бұрын
You *could* live of that wage, if you are very cheap and frugal. But this job is still meant for teenagers and young adults. Its not really meant for people to live off it.
@PraveenSrJ013 жыл бұрын
@@JohnDoe-fr7fr very true although there are adults with social and/or intellectual disabilities that these are the only jobs they can find and need to be compensated well.

Bring a Resume just in case, don’t be nervous act confident and always express your skills as in what your good at. Make sure you smile when you see your boss and give him a frim handshake before the interview. Don’t be late, have clean clothes and make sure you have everything you need. Also be talkative try to talk about your self like what you achieved in life. It also best to act relax and be as friendly as you can. That how I got the job.

no.. you only get canceled orders and most of the time its stuff the managers forgot to throw out. i got sick one day eating that because they never told me it was up there for hours. now i dont eat any left overs or canceled orders. oh and its 30% off to buy a pizza but the pizzas are so expensive that its not worth it.

I m Ed from Brazil. I drove for Domino´s in Salt Lake a long time ago. But on my shift in that store I didnt make much. It would be nice if we could know which places would be a big deal to be a pizza driver. And in the US we use cars to do the deliveries and there are not much appropriate vehicles we can find for this job. So, maybe a geo metro would be the best car to do it. I d not put a car like a ford Taurus or a truck to do pizza delivery. Another thing, it would be nice to know which cities or stores would be a big deal to drive for. Because I have driven all night long for it and it was not worth it. Some places we drive a lot for little $$ doing pizza delivery
