i find it messed up how out of all things they went after the ambient lights, those lights made the truck interior so unique.

Most of the changes don’t bother me but the loss of the tilt headrests is a real problem. Got my 22 PB this week and finding that feature was gone really pisses me off.

What's missing is a realistic price tag. My brother in law bought a 2020 fully loaded and it listed for just under 60k and he paid 50k for it, today they are 75k and expect to pay that 75k? That's ridiculous

I'm so disappointed in Ford for deleting those features with no notice to customers. I ordered a 2022 F150 Limited 4x4 Hybrid 10/15/2022. It was just built this last week and in addition to deleting these features, they also deleted the massaging seats and the 2.0 parking assist. I've said, No thank you! That is not the truck that I ordered, and I'm not going to pay $85K for a product that isn't what was promised. 🤨

I totally agree, it’s actually so disheartening how Ford is doing this and only crediting pennies for taking important features like this away that you pay many thousands of extra dollars for.. it seems like the price is getting more but the pie is getting smaller with every passing year 🫤

My 22 Lariat (ordered early April..delivered September) came with the "connected nav and serius" deleted. Credited a whole $200. If I had been notified,I would have canceled the order and looked for a 2021. Getting used to using Android Auto with Waze and Serius from my phone but still very disappointed.

Yeah the XM/Nav delete is a big deal breaker for some, I noticed all our late build 22’s have the delete and it’s disappointing

I bet they analysed it hard to find what they could cut that wouldn't affect opinions to hard either to save a bit of $ or to cover for the front sensors now included on 2022, I'll take the front sensors over what was shown here.. My 2cent

The removal of the interior lighting, the climate controls, and the change to the non-white license plate lights are all unacceptable. Removal of the lead foot paint color was also frustrating, as that's what I was set on. I understand it saves Ford a few dollars here and there, but these are basic amenities that have to be minimally marginal at the end of the day. I'll wait an extra month or pay $50 for my truck to have all the amenities of a prior year. All of this made more irritating by the fact my MY 2021 got bumped to 2022 after I ordered it.

My 2022 had the halogen plate lights, I changed them to led. When backing at night using the camera I find there is to much glare. I went back to stock and for my eyes it’s better.

Best thing I didn't get in my 22 is the auto stop. Told me to come back later so they could Install the chip. Well that was the thing I hated most in my 2018 F150. SO DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH UNTIL I GET BACK GUYS!

That’s a good question, I know the lights can be added and I’m assuming you could add the auto start/stop later once parts are more available but it’s hard to say for certain

Looks like 2022 got front parking sensors even without the 360° camera. Any comment on that? I was under the impression my ‘22 build would not get front sensors without active prep but this video shows otherwise.

I think the Front sensors should be standard when ordering a Lariat 502A or Tremor 402A package! Understand that Blue Cruise is included for 3 years & after that you need a subscription that is around $600 US for another 3 years!

Mine sometimes is hard to hear through those speakers as well on certain music, did you try turning it from stereo to surround mode?

22 is better. Wireless phone charger and front parking sensors. How often do people open a glove box? Never. How often do I use front parking sensors? Everyday in my garage than barely fits my truck like Most pickup truck owners

I agree. I'm picking up the new 502A in less than 2 weeks, and I'm actually pretty happy with the changes. The vents still close effectively if needed, auto start/stop removal is very nice, as it was so annoying on my '19 (took it off with a tune though lol). Gaining the wireless charging pad is a nice trade for a light inside the bin tray IMHO. The headrest issue is a bit frustrating, but I honestly can't remember ever adjusting a headrest in my 30 years of driving. Cup holder lights would have been cool I will say, but I'm good with it.

Really none of the changes are a big deal? Have never closed any vent on any vehicle I have ever owned, back license plate light ... good, harder to see at night fine with me. Glove box light, look at night ... barely covers 3 inches of the glove box with light ... again HUH? Wireless charger ... YES, that is BIG improvement, no more cords well worth losing a small light to get! Cup holder ... if you can't find that in the dark??? Temperature display moved to the screen is way better! I think that if the B&O Ultimate is selected, the headrests do have the tilt feature still?

@@a.fredscullard162 I guess every person's use case differs. We open and close the vents all the time, and my experience is that the tab on the vents break, the dials don't. Glove box light at night does allow me to find stuff. I don't ever use a wireless charger, has no utility to me, the one in my current vehicle goes unused, and I'm getting the front bench anyway so wouldn't have it. The temperature display moved to the screen doesn't add anything, it just takes away that it was also on the dials, again much better for we. I also ocassionally adjust the headrests, for me that it won't adjust is an issue. There's also the principle, that you're paying more for less,,,,, btu hey

I swapped them to the black XLT caps, you can go to any Ford dealer and just order 21 F150 mirror caps for an XLT

To be honest it’s decent but not the greatest, some songs don’t sound very good and you can hear it get get crackled in higher volumes, I feel like the standard B&O does a good job for what it is and it’s hard to justify the extra dollars. Wish the engineers spent a little more time getting it dialled in

I know this is an old comment but the unleashed system is pretty bad compared to the 2020 B&O system. It seems they sacrificed sound quality to add more speakers. The clarity is slightly lower and bass is way underpowered. The soround system is also not well implemented. You can't even tell it is soround sound vs the old system. Then again I test drove a 2022 and maybe the chip shortage affected the systems quality. The gear lever was the biggest issue for me. It felt like I was switching gears on a kids Power Wheels that had been passed down to the next generation. Holy shit the amount of slop and how dingy it was.

They told me there are a lot of things missing on the all new for 2022 F150 and I will not buy one because of that reason and I will be good to my friends who are going ahead and byting one of these trucks on time when they go on sale this week at the Ford dealersip now I will say I will byt a all new 2021 truck that is made aby the Ford company of the dreal deal neak custom truck you can get on a good deal ike now mark up on the marp save them micro chips and opt out for the cause caome her and get this truck on sale now we can make a good deal on thos one for me and myj wife
