This week we have special guest Curtis Koch from Broadway Limited Imports that reviles new product announcements here on the show first including a dicast modern locomotive that will be a game changer for the industry. Richard Bianca shares his trip to Leadville Colorado as he was home again. Steve Mantia shares an MTH locomotive that is dear to his heart. We ran trains this week including an amazing derailment during the show. All that and more in just under 40 minutes.

Love BLI Locos. I own 15 of them including an HO T1. (My 10 year old Mike is now in for repair at BLI). Their detail is great and they run well.

Not knowing where the T1 is being built is like asking what state is Pennsylvania in. Back in the 1970's a fellow on my paper route was an engineer on the PRR southwest division and started working prior to WW2 before going to europe during the war and operating trains there. He told me about the T1's before I knew what a T1 was as that was common power going in and out of St. Louis on big passenger trains as well as double headed K4's. He commented on how smooth the T1's were at 100 mph. He retired in 1976 the year Conrail came into being and gave me what he had left of his PRR engine manuals as well as some fairly current PC employee manuals and rule books.

The locomotive that was built from scratch is LNER Peppercorn A1, 60163 Tornado but they are currently rebuilding another steam locomotive is a Gresley P2, numbered 2007 Prince of Wales but there is a list of projects that preservation groups are doing to rebuild long lost steam locomotives. Enjoyed the podcast.

I too, own quite a few BLI locos. But. I disagree with those "fantasy" paint schemes. Childish. I suppose there must be a market for them, assuming they sell. But it's like graffiti. Not for me! And now that BLI is bringing out locos without decoders is a good thing too.
