Hey Jeff - there are tabs in the outboard rear seat area , near where the seatbelts come out in the crease of the seat, that recline the rear seat. I can see them in your video. They are cloth loops. 🤓

Jeff, looks like you did this review at same spot where I talked to you a few weeks ago (hiker guy). Funny because I got a new Forester last week. I preferred its SUV competitors in some respects, but honestly like to have a recent re-design. That's certainly not the current RAV!

Are the seats Leatherette,or real leather ? Why do they make the flickering day lights I hate it when cars are behind me with them distracting..

Had my 2025Forester now for about 10 days now… I find the lane centering to be way too aggressive at highway speeds as well on city streets and had to disengage it. Also I find the steering wheel controls to be placed in such a way that my hands always have to be on top of the steering wheel to be comfortable. At highway speeds I actually was concerned driving it being the steering is so tight that with the slightest movement I felt like I was losing control of the vehicle. My 1st Subaru and going to have to get used to its nuances…Feels like the thing has a mind of its own. All the features they offered sounded like a good thing, but I fear it may just be too much, giving too much control to the car’s computer rather than allowing me to decide how I want to drive … Only time will tell if it’s a keeper.

Turbo? Have a 2021 Outback and lack of adequate interior lighting and non-gauge cluster control illumination for nighttime driving are awful. Like on the driver's door window controls and door lock, and the lower left dash controls.

That powertrain really needs to be modernized and I can't believe they keep trotting it out year after year. It was dated a decade ago and now it's just miles behind. Honda, Toyota, Kia, and Hyundai all offer hybrids that get so much better mileage while generally also making more power. A 2.5l engine that gets 26mpg city while only making 180 horsepower doesn't compete anymore when some of the competition can give you more than 40mpg city. Other than a powertrain that would have been competitive in 2005 the car is fine but that's a huge con.
