Well, as for me, the latest update made the app on my device barely usable by considerably slowing it down. I would be very excited by a new update that fixed the mess done by that great update... As another very long-term user, I echo what @DanielGTaylor has said. It is both refreshing and reassuring to see these updates. I should add that these bulletins have given additional assurance because your improvement philosophy is so sensitive to the use cases of actual customers (something that was so obviously not the case during the rewrite by the previous management).

I love Evernote and has been a paying customer for almost a decade now. Thank you for the updates, it's so great to see things improving in a tangible way. There are, obviously some things to work on with the Calendar sync (like the specific problem of old deleted Google (sub)calendars from any synced account showing up in Evernote's list of calendars is still an issue), but finally being able to fully use G-calendars in Evernote is truly great! Thank you, it's been an incredibly useful and long-awaited addition. My biggest issue currently is that ever since a couple updates back, Evernote Android keeps crashing on Android 10 (Samsung phone) when opening any previously saved note with an attached file (be it an image, audio clip, or any other file/ just a long note with text), making Evernote currently pretty much unusable for me on mobile as a personal wiki/my own life-database, when all I can do is creating a short new note. But I've reported this issue to the team, and hopefully, there's a fix coming up soon.

Hi! thanks for all the changes. Can you please bring the feature to sort by tag (when you click the column), that for some reason was depreciated when we changed from legacy to v10. Totally agree! The feature to "Shift+click" tags and notebooks to quickly filter them was extremely helpful to my workflow too! Please bring it back! The "saved filter" combos are being extremely laggy and unreliable.

As a journalist who is almost constantly travelling, I would really appreciate a greater focus on the development of the mobile app and especially the iPad app. Craft, Apple Notes, Bear, etc. etc. work almost magically on mobile devices, but Evernote seems like a second-hand product on mobile devices 😢

I'd like to see that too. I don't mind if the app became a bit slow. The idea of evernote 10 was unified the functionality of the apps in all platforms, but they screw up when remove the home and the widgets in the main page

I have been an Evernote user for years! I have lamented some of the ups and downs, like many others. In the last couple years, the usefulness and stability has improved markedly. I use ONLY the web version and am thrilled with it! (For years I used the desktop version, but think web works best for me.)

I love these monthly video's showing a real progress but more importantly a real commit in improving the app, which was very much needed after years of neglect. I don't use calendar nor tasks features 'at all' as I have other dedicated powerful apps [Things, Fantastical...] for this since many years. So the option to remove them from the sidebar altogether and ability to better customise the layout is such a big usability improvement. Looking forward to those performance improvements as well 😃😃

Also, yes, love the sidebar customization, especially being able to hide the extra buttons. One small bug: if the "more" button ends up at the bottom of the app window, it becomes unusable. But no biggie. :)

Great to see the work going on! Just one more little thing to make me really happy. Please allow the display of one large note list with the current note minimized (or shrunk down to one bar). It was really nice in the old days with the PC app to efficiently scroll the list of selected notes!

I have been an Evernote user since 2010-11 and it is very nice to see the great improvements announced over the last year (including the image transcribe feature), which seem to have brought up Evernote from what appeared like a slumber. Nice updates! Concerning the performance. The sooner the better. Starting EN on a Windows 11 machines takes about 1 or 2 minutes since a couple of weeks.

I miss the shortcuts bar being able to be at the top of the screen. I held out on an old version of evernote forever until I was forced to upgrade. Its so much harder scrolling all over the side bar to get things done. Please bring that option back :)

Thank you to the team for being willing to listen to user feedback and for bringing various updates that have given me new hope and vision for Evernote. I have encountered an issue while using the app and would like to bring it up, hoping the team can help resolve it. Possibly due to network issues or other reasons, when I am editing notes, especially when deleting images using the delete key, there are times when the entire note gets deleted. Could you consider adding a confirmation screen when the whole note is being deleted? Perhaps an option in the settings where users can choose whether or not to enable this feature would be helpful.

I really love the Evernote app but the biggest reason I cannot commit to it is because you do have the option to Justify the text. That one option would be so amazing and draw me back so quickly! And I know that so many other people agree with me on this. Also, please make a real Dark Mode option that doesn't have yellow to purple fade in the background.

I still would like the functionality returned to put focus on a notebook then scan a document directly into that notebook. That is my main reason for using Evernote. It would save me hours of refiling a document from the default notebook into the desired one . Please!

Evernote used to (mostly) work which is why so many people used the classic version, rather than the current cruddy version which doesn't even support url drag and drop and editing correctly. Of course a smart company would have asked these people why they were still on it and fixed the issues they bought up, but given that there is a simple 11+ year old Evernote bug that still hasn't been fixed, I think you can guess what they did instead: No survey and the Evernote "downgrade" was forced on us.

Thanks for the update! I have a suggested feature: Could you release an update that allows me to open Tasks in a new window? I use the Tasks tab constantly throughout the day. I'd love to pin it to a corner of my monitors while I work in other notes.

Sorting notes in a list by Tag would be a powerful feature that would help most of us a lot, and I'm at least intrigued as to why you haven't received this request more often and from more people. The feature was there until recently and I still don't understand to this day why you removed it if it was once there. Nice to know that you really hear your customers. It is the reason why I started to use Apple notes. Sometimes you need quickly create note with a very interesting idea. At this very moment Evernote refused to open 😑 Especially on iPhone it was a disaster. By the way, I just tried your new feature AI Fix Typos with Mac build-in dictation tool - very impressive! And what's new with Evernote on my machines? Since the latest (11/4) Windows app update, editing has slowed down considerably: I have to wait half a second before any keystroke is translated on screen... I uninstalled and re installed but nothing has changed. It's barely usable now, so I can't wait for the next update to fix what the last one did. As for the Android app, one great feature of it is that the bullet allowing to create a note in one click has finally been reinstated. Another feature that has been reinstated is that we only have to hit the screen once to edit a note. Both make for a much fluider working flow. Why were they suppressed, it's a mystery to me... Thank you for reinstating them.

This is great, I am only hoping that the Tasks portion can also become a two-way sync! Google calendar tasks with Evernote. It is a simple thing to do to mark an email as a task in Google but when we need to work out of Evernote, these tasks get missed. nd vice versa! I have seen this mentioned many times from others, so I am hoping this is in the works!

good to know new improvements!, but 3 things urgently needed (macOS - iOS): in desktop and mobile: please increase the thumbnail size option (so tiny in so much room wasted in the note box). In Mobile: please let just press the note to erase it or move it in a popup menu way and fix the way to see a task thats longer than the screen when yo open it (at least 2 lines to avoid the use of edit cursor to read it)..

Why did you get rid of notebook lists in the sidebars? I mainly use Evernote in my iPad, not my desktop and the notebooks in the sidebar was a crucial way for me to navigate quickly. I miss having that right there, with the toggle down. Every time i want to go to a new notebook, i have to make extra clicks. It drives me nuts. And if it doesn’t come back, i may find a new platform. I’ve been using Evernote for years and this new change really made me mad.

For me, the most important thing to definitely improve Evernote would be to have two sidebars, one professional and one personal. It doesn't make sense to have your professional and personal life mixed together.

I have to point out something - I listened to the podcast with the Verge, and you mentioned that most users and use cases related to taking notes. However, most of these September updates have very little to do with making the core note taking experience better. I'd love to see you focus on really optimizing the note taking experience - especially by cleaning up the many bugs I continue to encounter.

Why do my reminders not sort from current to future. Some views they are in no order. Other view they start with the farthest one to reminders due today. This worked fine with the reminders tab.

Don't spend enough time in Evernote exclusively (since the price change) to use the calendar or tasks. But, I like just showing "Notes" and not tasks. I work in a few "Notebooks" at a time for weeks on end, so simply "Shortcut" them and use the Shortcuts to navigate. Don't share notes or use any workplace functions.

As much as I love some of the new features, it's equally frustrating as more other features get broken as part of this process. I haven't had time to report them but they are happening at a break-neck speed. Surely, I am not the only one. For example, I publish notes to the web a lot for my students to have access to lessons, but now more times than not, the links are broken. It was just a problem with links in EN brwser but now it's also in the application and I have to regenerate links, which is a big problem for me since my complete lesson plan template is built on these links... that no longer work. 😒

On the assumption that this is a good place to give feedback on Evernote, as such, I should say that my primary use for it is as a document store. Essential features for me are the web clipper and the facility for copying emails to my Evernote account, especially where the email is itself the carrier for some document that I have been sent. Another great feature, which threatened to disappear for some years, is the ability to email a note out from Evernote to someone who needs to see the attached document. These are features that other note-taking apps seem to lack, so are core advantages of Evernote. On the other hand, the stacking of notebooks being limited to depth 1 is annoying (with time, it gets really unwieldy not to have, say, a folder called "Tax" with a sub-folder called "Tax Returns" where each annual folder/notebook can be dragged when no longer current). I don't know whether this is a fundamental architectural limitation, or something that would be easy to change (at least adding an option to have more hierarchical storage). On a less fundamental level, would it be possible for the user to have some control over the formatting of note titles? At some point these were defaulted to a needlessly huge and bold font.

I know you are working hard to develop the software. I have been using this application for 12 years. I have asked you many times to add something very simple; Reminders... Let it be a sidebar item like notes, tasks, calendar... Let the reminders under all the note titles be there... How hard can this be? I also cannot understand why there are no reminders in mobile applications.
