I think the spirit of the rule is to play river tiles so that they won't cause issues. I think a mindful player would have curved the one river away from the other river. From Wikicarpedia: "You must always place a river tile on an open end of the river. So you must always extend the river until you have placed the lakes at the open ends."

The robber at the end of the game when playing a mega game of Carc could be worth a lot of points but it could be hard to count all the completed roads? There could be loads of 2 tile roads right? This expansion is arriving next week! 😅

Yep! Keeping track of a ton of roads while counting them all gets more ridiculous while adding in more expansions! Have fun!
