I wish they didn't have a turbo. Turbo equals more problems less engine life. I would go with the hybrid, but it only comes in four-wheel drive. I don't need a four-wheel drive. I don't want higher maintenance costs, less fuel mileage. And not to mention a rear electronic axel that can not be repaired must be replaced. And cost a fortune.

I remember in 2019, I bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Highlander with zero miles on it for $26,000. Car payment was $480 a month. Now, in 2025, the version I bought starts at $48,000😢. What is going on🤔? I can imagine the monthly car note, especially after taxes are added. I'm thinking $900 plus

Why Toyota is discontinuing this model is beyond me. The Grand Highlander is much bigger than many of us need, but we like having something a bit larger than a RAV4 where the 3rd row is only needed once or twice per year for a short trip. Crown Signia is nice, but it is a wagon. The Highlander deserves a new model makeover. Discontinuing it is short sighted.

@@SME5724 but with more torque......For most people (not all) driving in town, city etc. accounts for the vast majority of their time behind the wheel. This powertrain is superior for that type of driving. Which would I prefer? The V6. But it is impossible for me to deny that this is a better powertrain for most people, most of the time.

You’re missing a lot without the use of the cruise control, I’ll suggest you search for videos on KZbin…. The car is a machine it breaks and accelerates by itself while on cruise control.
