Thank you for this Alex. Adding timelines to the render queue from the edit page is massive! Usually I’m creating a seperate timeline and dragging all my timelines in to batch render them. But this can have all kinds of issues so I’m glad they fixed this.

This is AWESOME! the cloud storage is HUGE, I work and collaborate with remote editors and although Resolve Cloud is great, the file management was a pain and sometimes proxies were identified as original files and it was a hassle to relink properly. With cloud storage (I hope) that will be resolved.. resolved (no pun intended LOL)

Thanks for the update Alex, just a heads-up for everyone looking into updating to 18.6 1. Audio of your project could sometimes be out of sync completely especially if you have multiple tracks on the timeline rendering your project useless just like i experienced 2. Playback becomes very laggy especially when you color grade or use 4K footage even after rendering it as a compound clip 3. Keyboard shortcuts take a second to happen from the time you press the shortcut, it is a subtle delay but you can defiantly feel it as it wasn't there in 18.5 I'm sure the devs are working on fixing these bugs, but i wouldn't advise anyone to upgrade until they are fixed, at the moment (at least imo) the cons outweigh the pros for this one, especially when you take into consideration that your library upgrades with different versions, but does not downgrade

I've seen a few similar mentions but it seems like a relatively contained issue as i've got 18.6 running on 3 seperate devices with no issues at all. No shortcut or playback lag etc, all graded 4k footage on a 4k timeline too. In fact, I've literally just recorded a 20 minute video talking about how smooooooth it feels, especially some of the Resolve Specific features. So it's a weird one! I'm running on both Mac and Windows too with no issues,

100% agree, I'm regretting upgrading at this point, cutting, deleting or just moving clips around are causing them to not have sound or have sound out of sync. I'm restarting the app to fix it and that works but having to do that every time I want to move a clip is killing my work.

@@reload54I'm not sure if this could be related at all but have you tried disabling all proxies in the new "automatic create proxy" button to see if this helps? I was having some lag now as well, and disabling this option seems to have fixed the issue for me. This button is on the edit page it is between the Bypass Color Grade button and the timestamp, on the top right corner.

There's a huge bug with this update when using multicams and importing timelines. When you do either and ripple delete a clip it takes forever and the audio becomes un synched.

I tend to carry an M.2 sled with me that's got a 1TB EVO 970 drive in it. I connect it via usb C to my laptop or Desktop and use that as my current option to move between my devices. For me that works really awesome. I can edit directly off it with about the performance of an internal SATA SSD or quickly move those files to my internal storage temporarily for higher performance. This isn't always the best solution and certainly isn't for everyone as I understand not everyone carry's their backpack around everywhere like I do. It is currently the best solution for me as I tend to edit with no internet connection quite often.

Yeaaah tbh that's what I was doing too. I used to just do a project archive onto SSD when switching across. Then BM cloud appeared so I use that for my projects, and just put the media on SSD. But then I started working with someone else as well, so invested in a cloud storage solution and have been using that since. And now I guess I'll have to move again to BM cloud storage 🤣

One thing that perhaps is only useful for me: I have to work with headphones in a big open space. With other program, as Reaper, I have Monitor FX. That is a chain of effect that don't affect the final export. I use headphone correction EQ make the headphone response flat. For the audio is quite a must have. I hope they will develop the "monitor fx" for davinci.
