Doing SQL this way would make us dependent on Google and prevent any migration to another provider. Please correct this.

For NoSQL databases, Firestore stands out as a great solution because it is a well-designed and feature-rich product, even though other alternatives like MongoDB exist. In the case of SQL databases, using alternatives often feels like reinventing the wheel, given the maturity and robustness of options such as MySQL, PostgreSQL... Personally, I would have implemented something closer to the Supabase approach because it combines the simplicity of traditional SQL databases with modern, real-time capabilities and a built-in API, making development faster and more efficient.

@@soumitripattnaik For NoSQL, Firestore is ahead of the game, so no problem. For SQL, it's absolutely not the case. I guess some freelancers will implement this SQL solution, but no big company will.

Everything on Firebase makes you dependent on Firebase. If I want to migrate, I'll need to redo the authentication layer, data layer and even payments since I use the Stripe extension. But that's what you get when you use Firebase: you build it faster, knowing that you pay for it in portability.
