Wait for click? Is there a layer of making an application with blender geometry nodes that I am not aware of? Or does this effectively enable that? Like - if it has input text node, then wait for click node - couldnt you make a blenter viewer based geometry nodes app?

Without asking what the secret sauce is behind creating these animations (apart from graft, sweat and sheer bloody brilliance) I assume Blender plays the biggest role (for obvious reasons)? Or is it a whole other beast?
@harryblends9 ай бұрын
I use Blender, OBS for capture, Premier for editing and Photoshop to create various assets along the way. I occasionally use After Effects for very specific moments but the bulk of the work is blender capture edited in premier. The majority of the node/noodle moves are simply me puppeteering them with OBS set to not capture the cursor. I also use a dry erase marker. A lot. It’s in my hand so often I mostly store it in my mouth when I need both hands for mouse and keyboard. I have to keep track of positioning/spacing somehow and the analogue of drawing on my screen has proved the best way. People ask a lot for a how-to for my style and I’m hesitant mostly because it’s not one simple answer - it’s dozens of techniques accumulated over years of animation experience. I’m planning to start a patreon this summer and one of the things I might offer there is a comprehensive guide on how I make these videos. But for now (ironically) it’s not really in keeping with the subject of this channel.

@@harryblends Thank you. That’s fascinating to hear. The writing and delivery shines through, so it’s great to hear the animation is mainly human powered. That explains a lot of the appeal. I naively hoped you had found some kind of programmatic solution (like the 3Blue1Brown ‘Manim’ tool) but we’re not there yet are we? I would jump at the chance to get a peek behind the scenes at your workflow one day. Just out of curiosity have you posted any more of your work online?

viewport transform ? I need to look this up now , does that mean i will be able to change things based on my in editor view port position , which means I can finally create a LOD system, to save increase performance and save on memory for creating huge scenes. Maybe I can even have a fun editor HUD system and be able to test out game views before exporting to an engine ... please please be true, the camera pos hack was useless for this use case . Thanks for the vid , very useful changes to know
