A Hitchhiker's Guide approach to explaining something as esoteric as Blender's geometry nodes is perfect. Subbed.

Every one of these videos does such a great job of giving context to geo nodes updates. Thanks for making them, and especially thank you for making them the way you make them.

I suspect you went to compliment school because "thank you for making them the way you make them" is pretty much perfect. Thank you. I will. It's what I like to do the most

It's nice to see The Guide's entry for Blender being updated from "Mostly harmless" for release 42, er, 4.2 LTS. It looks like a lot, but DON'T PANIC!

Came here from the main Blender video - how in the world do you create such clean animations with the nodes/connectors? I love it!
@harryblends3 ай бұрын
Thank you. It's all screen capture that's retimed in the edit. I plan to do a huge tutorial on it when I decide to move on to another form of unconventional animation expression. But it's not very glamorous and mostly the fruit of a lot of planning

@harryblends2 ай бұрын
Yeah. Blender moves fast sometimes. Great in so many ways. But it can be frustrating when it comes to the expiration date of tutorials. Are there any specific changes that are causing problems? It’s always good to know these things when planing future videos

@@harryblends hi, Harry, thank you for your reply 🙂 LOL... eight days ago! I should have written down what was confusing me... being an old codger doesn't help haha I think it was a node that in 4.2 had some parameters missing compared to the same node in the tutorial and it's not just geo nodes... I exclusively use EEVEE because I have a computer which runs on a potato... some of the graphics/render settings are totally different sorry I couldn't be more specific 😊
