Thanks Anthony for all the great work you do in sharing your knowledge and expertise with regards to photography. Of all the KZbin photographers and instructors out there you are the one I tend to watch the most. You have a great way of communicating making complex issues seem easy. Keep up the good work. Jim from Australia.

Anthony, at 4:30 when the power lines went away so did two turbine blades on the small lower left....oops. Best to your son and you the family. Prayers!

When will we be able to use it as a lightroom plugin?
@seanleonard81223 жыл бұрын
The power lines removal you showed removed not just power lines. Notice the smallest left most wind turbine down low on the horizon... the tool removed the two lower blades!

I erase power lines only when there is no power pole in the picture. Otherwise it looks odd, the pole standing there, alone, with no lines connected to it.
@alwilson64713 жыл бұрын
I recently reported (and provided photo) that the powerline removal would not work where the powerline was sagging. It seemed to expect them to be fairly straight. I need to retest this now but you might check if you have a suitable image.

Hi Anthony, I opine a Pentax lens does bokeh and is called a "nifty fifty" being 50mm and mine is lightweight but, unlike the camera, isn't water resistant. In my opinion: Perhaps other makes have similar lenses. I opine so far the bokeh feature is good in thhat there is a choice of how much background blurring to apply. Thanks for your very helpful video. Regards JB

I have the pre-release version of Luminar Neo and downloaded the update, but the connect with the mobile app on an iPhone 11 absolutely does NOT work. When I attempt to connect the devices, Luminar Neo on desktop incorrectly tells me that the connection was lost. I've closed and re-opened the app, but continued to receive the same incorrect message.

Anthony, I cannot get share to work. I scan the bar code and it comes back with make sure you computer is using the same Wi-Fi. I do have Wi-Fi on the PC but it is also connected directley to my router by Ethernet cable. Do you think this is the problem.

I seem to have a more complete version and it's a plugin not the stand alone early versions.

Will Neo be able to correct eyes that blink in photo?
@lindaschuett44863 жыл бұрын
I updated to the latest update, whenever I remove powerlines in an image, the program shuts down. Love the regular erase feature, does an excellent job. Hope they get this all figured out soon. Also best of luck for your sone and your family, prayers for you.

Thanks for the update! So, I certainly understand that we are in a pre-release state. One of the big things I anticipated for Neo was the power-line erase feature. I have many shots of more complicated power lines than what you showed here. Your example was very basic, something you could erase quickly and easily in other software. Running my more complicated photos through Neo, I found myself pretty much disappointed. Sure it erased parts of the power-lines but left many parts intact. I am really hoping they develop this feature to be much more effective. But so far, am liking the new version. Keeping my fingers crossed the final version doesn't disappoint.

I'm like AM -- try to avoid the lines wherever possible. Like you it will be nice if when needed the product does the work. What I wonder is how the bokeh will work with hair that is not "clumped" but more "flown" so that the filter has a more difficult time to determine the background.

The power line tool removed almost all of one of the wind turbines.

The really big news for me is that this version works as a plugin in PS/LR and unofficially in Affinity Photo - I tested it and it's seamless. Also, I find exports are much faster, they've gone from 3 minutes in the first version to 1 minute in the last one to 45s in this update. Also all the bugs I reported seem to have been fixed(4 in total). Very happy with this latest version, it's beginning to feel like a usable tool.

It also works as a plugin in On1 photoraw 2022

Very helpful video. Thank you. Does Neo still include all of the portrait retouching AI features, ie: skin, eyes, teeth, etc.??

I may have this wrong, but It kind of sucks that Luminar will give a 30 day money back guarantee, but this is from when the buyer activates the PRE-release version. So we can't really try everything out and be fully informed until the full release is out, but at the same time Luminar wants us to be beta testers...Surely it should be 30 days after the full release version?
@phlotographer3 жыл бұрын
I understand the method is to have 30 days after you actually get a full release fully completed version as of the release date to test but the nice thing is that there are folks that are making presentations about these beta tester version for folks to learn from. Other than 2018 Luminar & L3 I have held off but did go for earlybird on NEO but I have prior to NEO release saved all of the videos by every person doing tutorials related to the product. Hope to understand it well enough before actually taking delivery. The worst thing is that I won't have a new upgraded computer with Windows 11 installed etc to fully determine things when NEO is released.

I have a picture that has 8 or 9 powerlines going through various parts of the image. LAI did an amazing job removing them. I only tried because i spent way too much time in PS.

Thanks Anto, I downloaded beta after your last vid, has neo a clone & stamp tool cuz I can’t find it, on 4 & AI I find it works great, 🤞it’s somewhere I haven’t looked & if not Skylum add it, keep up the good work W

I've tried installing the update to the latest pre-release version of Neo both from the app and by downloading from the site. In both cases it crashes at around 80% of the install process. The Tech support chat said to try disabling virus protection before installing. However, that did not work. Anyone encounter a similar problem or know a solution? Would like to try the latest iteration of the pre-release.

I am a bit confused. Does Luminar Neo replace Luminar and Luminar ai?
@phlotographer3 жыл бұрын
basically YES. However LAi will still work and be supported at least until the end of 2022.
@dicebeatsofficial25253 жыл бұрын
I think luminar is facing a lot of challenges.hence this prolonged beta testing.the should just add something new to luminar AI and will keep on waiting till luminar Neo is perfect

@chadpeterson20333 жыл бұрын
These early access releases of Neo have really drained my enthusiasm for the finished product. Like you mention, most of us aren’t composing landscape shots containing power lines, and if it’s street photography power lines belong in the scene.

Might be my computer (older) but it is SLOW! Judging against AI.
@phlotographer3 жыл бұрын
maybe not only older but maybe not of sufficient power, RAM etc. Lots of reasons for things being slow. Maybe something as simple as the computer is not capable of multi tasking so maybe turn off some apps or even uninstall some in case things are running in the background. Check Task Manager.
