I've been amazed for years how much thought has been put into ensuring every new feature plays well with the existing one and the attention to detail.

Thanks Nick! Great new features. I keep loving Node-RED like no other software, because it lets a non-programmer like me make advanced automations. Here are some of the features I would love to see in Node-RED 3.0: 1) A combined change and switch node would make many flows much simpler and neater (if input = x then send value y to output 1. If input = x2, then send value y2 to output 2) 2) When importing flows, I often get a message stating that certain node types missing. Would be great to have the option to simply “accept” automatic installation of the listed nodes. 3) Automatically enable/disable flows (set flowID.[flowID] = enable/disable to enable or disable an entire flow). Like you can with Home Assistant automations. This would be a lot easier than setting a lot of variables in each flow to be able to stop them. For example: I have made an alarm flow with all my sensors, but I only want to trigger the alarm when I’m not home. Right now I use true/false variable and a switch node in every sequence with every sensor to prevent the sequences from running when I’m not home. 4) Easier manual backup and restore of flows AND nodes. Would love to be able to download everything easily from the UI, so I can can just make a fresh install or spin up a new Node-RED docker container and restore all nodes, settings, configuration and flows from one single backup file. In the perfect world, there would even be a setting for (automatic) backups to Google Drive etc. (Basically everything the Home Assistant google drive add-on does, when you are running Node-RED in Home Assistant, but for everyone not using Home Assistant) 5) Visual representation of flows on flows.nodered.org (render image based on the json) like I have done manually with all my flows (example: flows.nodered.org/flow/f665cf5a9007a2bade3e723c76aecfa8/in/YsSoz9IDM4Z_) OR at least an easier way of adding images to flows on flows.nodered.org (drag n drop or simple upload option).

I'm glad you are advancing with buffer data. In the hardware industry we nearly exclusively work with buffer data.

Love the improvements in 2.2. It's so good to have search history and remembering zoom/scroll information. I have built several instances of Node-Red (Tesla solar charger, Home Automation devices monitor, A reminders system, Data logging and a Backup controller) all running on a Raspberry Pi 4 in Docker containers and it is so reliable.

Thank you. I really like to have MULTI USER SUPPORT in the DASHBOARD with different access right to controls and pages. Currently, this is not supported and it is almost impossible to mimic this feature.

This project is UNBELIEVABLE. However, I am missing a super clean documentation and how to with lots of examples. I am sure I am not using Node Red to the extent I would love to, just because I don't know how to do it. Or maybe it is just my fault

Btw a question regards the last topic regards copy one node to next and just change the name, can it be used so that the name of the node could be a variable? I'm trying to copy paste many of my flows (have like 15 thermostat in my house) and use one as standard but the 14 others I need to edit nodes per nodes regards the name, it's not so hard using a ASCII editor and standardizing names+extensions of all variables and just seek and change a string but if you could point/address towards a defined variable all names would be changes from the master flow, hope your understanding my question 😂😊

ya now what ould be great: typed objects im thinking nodes can export a json schema that then gets validated against in future nodes 🤔
