Some nice new exhibits on show, particularly intrigued by the Tatung PC-2000 and the abc machines. Hope to learn more about them on my next visit.

I had an Apricot Xi in the mid 90s. There were two versions, the DOS compatible and the not quite DOS compatible, I had the latter... I got it by swapping it for an old printer I had lying around. The Xi had a 10MB hard disk and the 'hot' keys on the keyboard no longer worked due to the ribbon cable cracking. It had a few apps installed including, dBASE III, and I found it pretty useful. Wish I'd kept it, it was a very neat machine.

The ICL sold the Rair Black box under an OEM agreement. My first 'computer' was an ICL mainframe and was used to payroll for at Hendon/Barnet council and was connected to schools for computer science. It ran the George operating system and was ICL's competitor to the IBM 360 mainframe. Speaking of councils, I think Southwark was the last council to use ICL mainframes.

The Apricot Portable and F1 were completely useless, un-sellable junk. Single floppy, and NOT PC compatible. I really don't know what Apricot were thinking about. The Apricot Xi was a popular MS-DOS computer with a variety of hard disk sizes and there was one in light grey that was sold as a server for CORVUS networks (Slow and unreliable). Eventually replaced by the Apricot XEN range (Still not PC compatible!) I worked in computer store from 1979-1992, and a computer maintenance company after that.

Hello random person walking around museum. Let's have a look at this random selection of totally unrelated computers. Perhaps someone might like to write a script and put some interesting facts in it? Just a thought.

@@adamlacey81 I would love to, especially as worked for computer store when all these machine were 'new' Sadly, you are not quite on my doorstep. However, if you would like to see my presentation skills, I did a piece for the BBC program 'The Net' in 1994. My piece was 13 mins 45 seconds in, about collecting 'classic' computers and the club I was running at time. It is on youtube "The Net (BBC2, 1994) - Season 1 Episode 7"

@@G7VFY Have you watched any other videos on this channel? This is their style, they aren't a TV company. Works perfectly as far as I'm concerned. I see your channel has exactly zero videos.
