@@vizzzyy190 As a massive fan of Miller's novels I was surprised to say the least when I saw Circe with the horchata cannons. In the books and in myth generally Circe is described as less "beautiful" and desirable by the other gods. She has the "voice of a hawk" and all the male gods pass her up (usually for her sister). This led me to think that Circe was smaller, possibly not as well endowed but still of course beautiful to us mortals. The more I think about it though, I think it's actually a neat detail that she is the lone plus size character (outside of Heph, who is also described as "lame" and unwanted). Her story is one of strength in the face of adversity, of not listening to what anyone says about her, of taking control of her own fate.

Something massive missed in the patch notes is that Time can no longer unpause the game during the final fight! They said he will still let you know how he feels about you pausing, so I'm assuming more funny voice lines, but I'm personally excited by this! edit: as I finished writing this the first biome clip started and I saw my past self in chat, I further stand by my statement that the biome transition screen is absolutely gorgeous!

It's cheeky, and I honestly really like the idea, but there just isn't a way to integrate it without damaging accessibility that I can think of.

What if Ares will be zone 4 boss/mini-boss/helps the boss in the last surface fight? If he wants war, it'd make sense for him to be helping Chronos and to keep the war going as he could have been bored in the time of peace (although you could argue that Eris, as the goddess of Strife, already sort of takes that role). He could also be an event god like Artemis and Athena, with, say, a timed battle, if you beat him within the time, he aids you in the final battle, and if you're too slow - he aids the boss, or vice versa - if you beat him, he joins the final boss, or helps you if you were too slow, to even out the odds. Although this could either hurt or be abusable by speed runners somehow, so this is unlikely.

I feel like their solution for not oversaturating the boon pool was to make lots of specific events. I wouldn't be surprised if we have all of the core Gods/Goddesses we're going to get. We had 8 in Hades and we have 8 in 2 now. Just about every region has a chamber event and an encounter event specific to that region. The Underworld route kind of has some blurring between regions that they might clean up with Artemis and Nemesis. I could see Ares being an event God in The Summit region if it is in fact an entire region. They could use an encounter event in Tartarus. Maybe Zag could show up and help a little. Being weakened from capture the reason he can't fight side by side for long.

Makes the regular special way more viable, but the sheer brokenness of the boomerang shotgun will be missed. At least flick knives (throw 3 specials on dash attack) retain the boomerang effect. The bouncing dagger hammer is kind of weird now. Omega Special still benefits as normal, but the regular special will sometimes bounce away into a wall instead of hitting a second time when you're trying to focus on one enemy.

The hephastus run change hurts. One of my favorite sets was finding that one rising my magic and upgrades for that. It was something like 700 damage whenever I needed it took care of annoying smaller enemies and was really funny to run around Chronos and killing him with just that.

@@noone12748 ehh i think axe is little weaker than before but axe is still good. it is good because special is like map wide clear. like any room, as long you have mana, you clear very efficient weak ads and base melee of axe is probably best base-kit melee with no boons. it does a lot of damage for 0 boons. you can clear like zone 1 and zone 2 with 0 attack boons and base attack axe on fear 32. that's pretty wild considering that doing that on dagger is very hard, if not impossible and many of other weapons struggle to do that because their clear isn't good and their melee damage is kinda trash without boons. Axe is good without boon and boon only make a strong weapon, even stronger. it is just not top-tier S-tier anymore and that's fine. if it clears game, it is passable. the big weakness of axe in my opinion is its poor boss killing potencial. it is only good move in my opinion to clear bosses was Hellspiliter, a hammer that makes your swing into 300 power chop and Spin to win move. both of these do clear bosses but the single target of axe was always weak part of axe BUTTTTTTTTTT there was overpowered boon called Hearthrobs that was stupidly broken for fighting bosses. now both hearthrobs and axe is weaker so the bosses for axe are harder. i still think that you can run Fire-axe, use spin to win move to build burn stacks and do decent boss damage but other weapons do that better now. axe is only good for its strong clear room potencial.

I don't have any issues using Persephone's skull, I just had a great run with it and didn't use the keepsake at all. I think people will always have a least favorite weapon, for Hades 1 it was the gun 🔫 I still used it a ton but it was my least favorite, the skull is also my least favorite but I think it's still fun.

he used weapon 2 fist where u start with a hex. weapon 3 is strongest imo. the way you want play this weapon is cast your special omega, then spam special and if enemy hits you, hold block. bounce back. rince and repeat. best attack boon is hera because it has highest base damage and helps you clear room super fast. i recommend going for zeus or going for appolo. if you go zeus, you play for king ransom to super charge hera special boon. if you pick appolo than you go his legendary to buff your omega special. depending on rng. you go for one or other.

I really miss the slowdown being an arcana card instead of a keepsake. While I am glad they changed Hecate's keepsake as I never found it useful, it's gonna be weird getting used to slowdown not being available every run. Aside from that I'm still testing all the new stuff out, though I still don't feel like Hexes feel super useful. I usually just grab the healing one at this point if I get one :/

I don't really understand that, I love the hexes. The one where you turn into a nightmare is so strong, you're completely invulnerable and can attack the whole time with new abilities! the one where you raise your past enemies to fight alongside you is really fun. and I also love the one that morphs enemies into sheep! the path of stars can customize each one with new abilities too. like how you can gain money for each use of the healing moon water. also, if you want to slow down time more often, there's a hex for that! phase shift I think it's called.

I do tend to go for it if I see it for the invulnerability, but from a gameplay perspective it just feels a bit lackluster to me. And the past enemy and sheep are near useless on bosses, since some only summon a few or very weak enemies, which for example, Aphrodite's call wasn't as it would just do big damage instead on a boss since it couldn't charm them. So I think there's definitely room for some buffs here and there to some of them!

As an M1 Macbook Pro user with no PC, I ended up buying a Steam Deck just for the purpose of playing Hades II early access. Now that M1 Macs and above are supported, I still don't have any regrets buying that Steam Deck. Love it, but happy I have more ways to play.

I think it's because the slow down was a crutch for players starting out. It was the first arcana card you unlock, so new players will start the game with it and get used to how enemies work. The problem was that it was so cheap that people were using it way more than was expected. So instead it's Hecate's keepsake, a character who is likely one of the first ones new players give a nectar to. But since picking a keepsake is such a big thing and the other ones can be run defining new players will be encouraged to swap it out more and more until they're comfortable without it. And since you can switch keepsakes between zones you can enable it whenever you need to if you get a run that would really benefit from it

I was very happy to see the favored boon thing - for some reason, with this chamber set up, I consistently miss changing out the boons. I cant tell you how many times I took Moros out on accident and then either had to scrub the run, play with Moros the whole time, or not have Moros in a tricky fight. It all felt bad. So now my favored boon is the purse o money, because even if I forget thats going to be useful!

The chaos egg is also a good favored relic, because when you swap it out you keep the boon (probably unintentional, instead of the boon lasting for 8 rounds like how the hammer works, the relic swaps out the boon every 8 rounds so if you don't have the relic the boon lasts forever)

I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I like a lot of the changes and additions made in this patch, I think they honestly make the game kinda worse.Slow Down being tied to Hecate Keepsake instead of Arcana, Axe no longer having it's special function as a block, Athena and Dio not being proper full fledged Gods.

The block thing honestly kinda killed the whole weapon for me, and i really dont like the whole roster to much. Honestly the attack is fine and all but it makes the whole charge up for omega about a second slower than it was before, and incredibly unsafe now and harder to use because you cant just sit in your cast any more or strategically block a projectile then omega you have to dodge which messes up your spacing and aim. If it blocked projectiles but not melee i feel like it would be better, but right now it just feels like straight downgrade to the weapon as a whole on all 3 aspects. I used to be able to do Chrys consistently with the axe by chipping damage in and blocking projectiles and sweeps between, now it just feels like i have to run in circles hoping i have an opening to get damage in or risk taking massive chip.

@@ZombieKitty321 get good. axe block was busted. there is two tricks to playing axe. the first is that demester can freeze enemies. the second is running appolo and abusing big area damage. People that are bad can't crouch on block and now need to learn how to dodge at correct time and space properly.
