Layout expansion looks great. Be careful that what's placed out front doesn't block the background view.

I 100% agree, I see that happen often. When I decided on this table design versus doing an around the wall perimeter layout, I wanted to be able to walk around the entire outside perimeter of the layout for different view perspectives. I also wanted mountains to break up the front and back straight sections and curves on each end so even though it’s a basic track design and smaller layout you cannot see everything at once without walking around the layout. Sounds like we have that in common, considering what’s in the foreground so the background compliments it. Thank you so much! 👍🙂

Like the longer stretches of straight trackage, also glad you kept a section of the top with that curve! Keep some switching action. A suggestion consider a small yard. With mountain removed your overall layout appears larger! Hopefully soon you will be able to make update videos on reconstruction!

I am in shock, Mike! I grew to retirement age watching that mountain take shape! Lol, all kiddind aside. I have loved everything you have ever assembled. Waiting to be blown away! BTW- you sound great! It's really nice of trainz to send you your passenger car. So well deserved!! For Christmas, i received a train tshirt, warner bros water tower, and big boy caboose Will share pics soon. Heres to a speedy recovery!

Wow, Mike- you don't let any grass grow under your feet! Best of both worlds- some long straights and an interesting inside loop. Looks like the mountains are spray-foam?? If so, was it easy to work with? Happy New Year! BTW- can I buy some of your ambition? 😊

Thanks Steven, yes, I am a busy body for sure! Tried resting but it’s miserable sitting still, was nice to get up and work on the layout a little to preoccupy me during the healing process. 😉 the mountains are spray foam as well as between the risers. It took a while to get used to using it, trial and error with application and carving. The biggest challenge is not getting bubbles to form and keeping the expansion in check so it didn’t flex the risers I use and warp them as it made its way between them. So I cut construction paper to line the sides of the risers and keep the foam out.

@stevenbullock9276 yes sir, most of it is the Great Stuff in the red can 1-3”, I also used some black can to test and it was too much expansion.
