Listening to you Rob, talking about the tools is like listening Pavarotti singing. Nice review as always👌

Great in-depth review-I just received both this saw and new track 2 weeks ago and I’m looking forward to using it. Previously I was able to cut the bottom of an old door while still hung with an older track and double-stick mounting tape. You had to finish the cut with an oscillating tool but the alternative was to risk destroying the 140 year old hinges caked in paint.

You could call that a speed rail when set up to do those quick 90’s. Good review. You make it easy to understand when you do the sped up examples.

THanks, helpful video. I'm considering upgrading from my old 55 (which is my third Festool track saw).

Looks nice, as expected, but if I was going to get a corded saw I think I'd go with the Mafell Flexi-guide system. Just intrigues me. I'm surprised I haven't seen any big KZbinrs buy and review it. I also feel like anyone who invests the money in festool should have the capabilities to cut the handle and one-time use slots into the tracks they already own.

I bet the pins on the angle guide will sit in the holes in an mft top to give a quick setup crosscut table

I would have preferred if you included an affiliate link so I could 1) know it was the new version and 2) give you some credit/commission for letting me know when it came out first since I want to support the channel and I can’t wait forever for Milwaukee to come out with theirs so I might as well go to another great brand in the market. Take care! Great review!

Milwaukee is coming out next quarter [as the whisp[ers are saying] I truly appreciate your offer to support the channel, I will add an affiliate link in the video description - thanks for the suggestion Link: imp.i284638.net/MXdErM

Festool quickly established them selves as the Ferrari of the tool world
@ToolsInAction4u2 жыл бұрын
Is that a compliment? Ferrari is not exactly known for Quality or reliability.

More like Porsche Mafell (another German company) are red so I'd say they were more like Ferrari not aware of any Italian power tool companies ;-)

So let's see festool underpowered the saw to begin with and the fix was to put a thinner blade on like everybody else has done from the beginning and then their new angle adapter is basically a TSO products copy or I should say they licensed TSO just got the TSO rail clamp today for my Makita stuff I have sold most of my festool the new 40 volt Makita track saw seems very nice kind of kicking myself for not buying the Mafell at this point. I still might purchase a Mafell

Are the gizmos compatible with old tracks and Makita tracks. Just got 40 v Makita to add to kit

Tracks are same
@dahut3614 Жыл бұрын
@@ConcordCarpenter Actually, Festool and Makita tracks are not the same. The Makita track has a little lip on the raised t-slot looking thing on the side opposite the splinter guard which engages the "slide lever" that keeps the saw from tipping-over when tilted for beveled cuts. That lip seems to be exactly where the Festool FS-WA Angle Stop attaches. If you have a Makita track, could you please try the Angle Stop on there for us?

The old TS 55 was notoriously less powerful than the 36v brushless TSC 55, if they haven't updated the motor to a brushless one, then I would say the newer TSC 55 FEQ also with thinner blades and kickback stop, is still going to be the better buy in terms of performance. And I heard that the two 5.2 amph battery, 36v configuration on the TSC 55 is enough to power it for a full days heavy work with the reduced kerf of the blade

If I could buy that Festool for anything like the price you said I would get one tomorrow. Unfortunately if you triple that you are close to what it would cost here in Australia. Anything that has Festool on it is a second mortgage job. No wonder you see so many people using them in the US. I went to a tool shop opening near me. There were a lot of tradies in the shop but the guy from Festool was all on his own. Nobody went near him. Don't touch what you can't afford territory. The original track saw and probably still the best. Doubt I will get to try one.

@@jailerobreak but HIlti is worth the price. The Festering Stool is absolutely not. If you look at tool rental shops, you will find Hiltis and Makitas there. Those guys know what brand is good for longevity. You won't find any Festool there.

Buying a new saw becos of a new blade is like buying a new car because the ashtray in the old one is full.
