Got mine together saturday and I am extremely happy bc it's a huge upgrade from my old b6 with a tweaked chassis and more slop than a hog pen on auction day. Still have yet to get it to the track but felt real nice on the living room floor. The suspension just feels really soft for a carpet car but we will see.

If any reading could you answer a couple of questions. I am really considering this kit for just regular non racing off road bashing. On grass, fields, through sticks basically running it at the park. I plan on running a Traxxas Vxl Motor / ESC and putting monster Truck tires on it. 1. Would a Traxxas Motor ESC work with this? 2. Would bigger tires work? Instead of buying a Traxxas Rustler, I would rather build a stadium truck with a good chassis and suspension out of the box. Without having to upgrade everything to aluminum. Let me know if this set up would
@AMain_Hobbies4 жыл бұрын
1. Yes; the VXL-3s is a great brushless, 3S LiPo-ready system. 2. Yes. But when you change the tire diameter, you also effect the roll out of the gearing, so you will have to check your motor/esc temps, and adjust gearing accordingly to avoid motor/esc burnout. -Brett

Which car would you recommend for a hard clay track?

It all depends on the level of traction. If you can pop wheelies, go with the B6.2; if there is more tire spin, get the B6.2D. -Brett

AMain Hobbies where’s the boys and girls club? Never been there. Is there an 1/8 scale track ? Been looking for some indoor tracks in the area of Chico.
@AMain_Hobbies4 жыл бұрын
No on the 1/8 scale. It's been 1/10 buggy and TC mainly, inside their gymnasium. The carpet track is setup, raced on and torn down in one day. It's been a lot of fun racing inside and it's super nice they let us use that space on Saturday's. @AMain_Hobbies4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there are many options parts to make up the B6.2, with the exception of the new body, chassis and side guards, but I believe the other items were previously available hop-ups. You could buy those parts easy enough to upgrade the B6.1, with the exception of the expensive chassis. -Brett

Hey Brett great video. We club race on a asphalt oval. In your opinion which car would you prefer. Keep up the great work.
@AMain_Hobbies3 жыл бұрын
Hey Steve. It just depends on how much traction the track provides. The gear diff and longer chassis on the B6.2 will be great if you have the traction. Otherwise, the B6.2D would be better at finding grip and accelerating on lower grip levels. I'd imagine the asphalt would be grippy enough for the B6.2, but not 100% sure. -Brett
@stevesorrentino82713 жыл бұрын
@@AMain_Hobbies Thanks for the quick response. The asphalt is not that grippy but I like having the gear diff and front and rear sway bars. Its a tough call because as you know a non prepped asphalt surface can get slippery with all the dirt blowing around outside. Keep up the great videos I really enjoy them.

@8ballrc4524 жыл бұрын
These are special designed for clay/dirt racing and carpet racing. That being said I would not recommend this kit For That. Sure you could but you would be much better off getting a purpose built basher RTR for the same price. If you want to get into competitive racing then yes I would recommend it.
@AMain_Hobbies4 жыл бұрын
Like 8BallRC said, we wouldn't recommend this kit for general fun driving/bashing. Don't get me wrong, you could do it, but there are other R/C options that would be better suited for driving in the desert.
