i actually think victories over some solid contenders like bakole or zhang would enhance usyks legacy. He's only had 7 fights at heavyweight fights.

Maybe reframe the question from "who should Usyk choose to fight" (because he seems like he'd be game for anyone) to "Who deserves a shot at Usyk the most" 🤔
@MichalLutecki6 күн бұрын
1. Dubois - Parker winner (June 2025) 2. Zhang - Kabayel winner (December 2025) 3. Bakole (if he wins with Ajagba) (May 2026) 4. Itauma (if he stays unbeaten) (December 2026) 5. Opetaia (if he moves to HW) (May 2027 at the age of 40) . retiring ATG and GOAT 🙂

He's 38 now. If he's continuing to fight so he can improve his legacy, then beating up a few of the guys that will likely become champions in the next couple of years will probably age well and make Usyk look even better with time.

Usyk vs the winer of Dubois Parker ( I prefer Oarker). Usyk vs Operaia for undisputed in Cruiserweight

If Parker can beat Dubois and look good doing it, Id like to see that fight. I think a fit Sanchez is a good fight too.

If he's going to continue, the winner of Kabayel v Zhang or Bakole, Parker if he beats DDD. Personally I'd like to see him retire, he's, no need to take any more punches or lose more brain cells.
@Jonnysonone18 сағат бұрын
Winner of parker and dubois, then Moses. I don't feel it's too early. Let's see where he's actually at, there would be no shame in losing to Usyk and you just never know, maybe he really is THAT good?

I dont know why because usyk would run rings around probably the both of them, but id like to see zhang v usyk, or bakole v usyk. Would be interesting for the few rounds their gas tanks would allow. Or kabayel i wouldnt mind. But hes done everything, theres always the next guy to fight so when does it stop.
@BERTLEWEED6 күн бұрын
I really think Dubois has a good crack at him. If he beats Dubois again then...? Kabayel...? Be good just to see him on; whoever he beats it's just going to cement his reputation.
@ForwardFeedback6 күн бұрын
Unite the belts again, defend each of the 4 mandatories once, retire. That's 5 fights (assuming he wins them all ofc) but at the rate he's fighting it would take him up to 40. If he were to manage that he'd only have 12 HW fights, but 10 of them will have been title fights, 9 will have been title defences and there's excellent fighters ranked highly in all top organisations right now so to defend mandatories from them all would be impressive. But odds are he fights the winner of Dubois/Parker and retires afterwards (maybe rematches them if he loses).

I suppose it depends on what Usyk wants to do. Does he want a big fight in Vegas? Does he fancy a big fight in China with Zhang? That would be my choice. It would be huge and could be done without the saudis😊 Bonus!!

I hope he retires. What on earth has he got to prove? He has completed boxing. Dubois can walk around and call him lucky all he wants but it's nonsense. We all know he became befuddled and disheartened. There are some good heavyweights out there but Usyk doesn't need them. Kabayel would be a good fight. But I really hope Usyk doesn't ultimately run up against Father time because you can never win.

I would like to see him retire also , like many others on here , but something tells me he ain't done yet . This is a guy who still does judo , swims like a bloody fish , plays semi pro football and can do back to back camps . Maybe he still believes he has 1 or 2 more camps left , who knows , only he knows that , and he ain't stupid . Watch this space Joe , i'm sure he said he's doing family for 3 months

well, personally speaking, i want to see him fight bakole. but nothing to gain for usyk. he should retire.

Parker could retire Usyk you know...Suppose there's a likely rematch clause if Dubois loses. I suspect Usyk will move on. I wanted him to retire after the first Fury fight and I want him to retire now. He's beat the boxing establishment.
Why??? Why would a boxing fan WANT that?? I dont get it??? Just weird to me

Hey there old mate Joe. Like watching your channel but feel I need to give you some insight into something you have said numerous times now.. Usyk himself said he might go down to CW because he needs to eat his way to a rock solid 224 or so pounds… so I imagine Usyk Would weight about 215 without the extra effort. Jai walks around at 220 but that is not all muscle of course. USYK is a great fighter and while he gives away 50 pounds to a fat fury and 30 pounds to a muscle bound AJ and DDD he has outboxed them and been too fast for them each and every time.. and while I agree Jai would be a better chance against Usyk with 6 months spent of bulking and then 12 months for 3 HW fights and he would be ready for Usyk.. I don’t think this fight happens anyway. But i disagree with your flippant manner in which you bat away the suggestion of he versus Jai… Briedis himself said he would like to see that fight, and like I said he is too fast, skilful and fit for these overrated pommie HW… Briedis gave Usyk hell… And at 37 and 39 was a great match for Jai but was outboxed both times.. Briedis at HW K/O Manuel Charr cold with an uppercut but against Jai all he did was break his jaw but Jai didn’t really flinch in that moment. The speed would be in Jai’s favour and he moves well, is tough and not scared like your pommie counterparts.. So if he could beat an aging briedis twice I’m sure he wouldn’t be fodder for Usyk .. I think Usyk beats him but I’m sure it would be a much more competitive fight than AJ, Fury and DDD winning about 5 rounds out of 58 against the great Ukrainian 🇺🇦.. so try to think more in a lateral sense and cease being narrow minded .. Because to my eye it’s a wonderfull match up styles and both similar size .. shame Usyk is 10 years older than him … P.S Jai won’t quit from a Jab…like DDD Or shit himself like AJ did when hit early in round 1 of first fight, or be scared to throw like Tyson in rematch… Seriously bro 😎 …..

I wouldn't dismiss everything you've said but still feel you're reaching on many points; a lot it's purely subjective, though it's always fun to speculate.. Look, I like Jai, and everything I've said applies to him fighting Usyk in the near future, not when Usyk's an old man. Right now, he'd struggle to win a round against Usyk, but is it possible I'm wrong? Of course. I want to see Jai finish the undisputed business at cruiser first though.

? Knocking out C-level fighters isn't even in the same atmosphere as getting in the ring with one of the best boxers since the turn of the millennium. Itauma would get washed out of there no problems. That kid needs a Miller or a Chisora level fight. Even those fights would be tough for him at this point. There are levels to the boxing game!

Usyk against a precocious novice who's never been beyond six rounds?? The only rounds Itauma would win would be the ones where Usyk was backing off and wondering what he was going to have for tea.

Itauma needs at least three fights with ranked opponents before challenging for world titles.

Usyk was back in the gym a couple of weeks ago, I thought it was a clip from before the second Fury fight but no, he was just keeping in shape. Constant professional. I think Usyk wants the IBF belt back, so that'd be Parker/Dubois, should he win which I believe he would then that'd make him 2x undisputed at Heavyweight. His Cruiserweight career showed he wanted to defend his undisputed record before he relinquished his belts which he did against Bellew. A lot of people overlook that, I believe it was mentioned by him/his team that that's what he wanted. Technically he hasn't defended his undisputed record at Heavyweight (he has in a way but unofficially), so I think he wants that IBF back then go onto defend them against Zhang/Kabayel or Bakole, then retire after those wins. I would say that's his plan.

Joe what are you going ON about??? How old are ya? “What can Usyk do to top what he’s already done?” Why is everyone happy with people gaining a belt and stopping?? The old champions used to have defence reigns In my eyes. His heavyweight resume is just as crap as joshuas and furys because THEIR resumes were crap I want to see the best fight (Usyk) stamp his authority onto the division by taking on live opponents which is something those other two lanky CLOWNS never did So no I hope he sees the fresh challenge of fighting a Bakole or better still Itauma God I hope he doesnt read the socials too much. All these boxing fans urging the man to retire. Its ANNOYING! Id be OFFENDED if I were Usyk

@mikeypc35927 күн бұрын
You do realise that Usyk's 38 don't you? If he was 28, then fair enough take on more challengers. But at his age, it's an entirely different story. He's achieved what he set out to at heavyweight becoming undisputed. Nothing's gonna top that even if he carries on.His health and family should now come first. How people view his legacy is not his problem. He shouldn't carry on just to satisfy people like you who think he hasn't done enough.
