This was a member exclusive video, but i wanted to share it with the rest of the audience. What do you think could be next up for 2025 after Pyro? Let me know in the comments!

I've never been so unsure where SC is going. Most of what we saw at CitizenCon was years away. But if I had to guess? Location Repair Missions Solar flares Enginerring Fires Space Whales The new Quantum jump and FX Nyx limited crafting small base building monster battles like the sandworm Dynamic Weather (Rain) SQ42 hand animations (hitting buttons) More locations (created by Genesis) Radiation FPS Scanning Ray traced global illumination Reputation system improvements Law and security improvements Utility Tunnels And ships to be released or worked on: Pioneer RSI Perseus RSI Apollo Drake Ironclad Legionnaire (if Hacking debuts, but probably not. It all deoends on if SQ42 has hacking)

CIG's gonna keep doing what CIG have always done. Different year, same CIG. It's gonna take em most of the year to even get 4.0 running well. And what exactly do you think will change? They're still focusing on SQ42 until at least the end of next year if not beyond. Anyone thinking SQ42 will actually release in 2026 is either being willfully ignorant, or they're just getting here and have no fricking idea that they should have stayed away.

Notice that Pyro suffers for lack of contracts, even in Stanton is much less contracts and even now this missions don't work very often. So servers don't need to deal with so many AI entities, and maybe this is resulting with better server performance.
@Hav0kАй бұрын
The lack of contracts is because they haven't finished the mission refactor. There will be a little more afterwards. But they have been reducing the entity count which has been helping

The two biggest changes that I see coming are developers moved from server-meshing onto other feature teams and the different patch schedule for next year. With the big development push for server meshing done or at least tapering off, more developers will be available to work on other features. Hopefully this will mean accelerated development of new features. Then there's the decoupling of content and features in the patch schedule mentioned in the letter from the chairman. Decoupling content from features could mean that they move away from an event every quarter. Instead of a quarterly major event, they might go with more smaller events, or less time between major events. Feature patches might happen less often, or maybe more often. By not having to align with the quarterly patch cycle, they could release the feature when it's ready instead of dropping an incomplete feature at the quarterly deadline. Then content patches fill in the gaps so there will be more patches in total per year.

Just rumor talk from people that seem to talk with CIG that maybe small base building around 4 month mark next year then medium builds not far after either way I cant wait
@Hav0kАй бұрын
That would be pretty amazing if they're able to pull that off! Hopefully by then we have quantum boost as well.

Я вважаю що це не 4.0, це скоріше 3.25

@@A_Trall Understood. I was mostly saying I somewhat disagree. While a lot of features were cut, I don't believe that it's 3.25 since Server Meshing changes a lot of things in the game.

How about after 4.0 it actually runs? I mean a game that runs./////imagine

I mean I've been having some major success with 4.0 running well
