Thank you for covering the famous quote, "God helps those who help themselves." That phase can actually be more damaging then good, especially when someone first come to the Lord and doesnt know how to get set free from an addiction or an unrighteous behavior. The bible actually tells me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13. The bible doesnt say "Now that Im save I can do all things if I first help myself first." Also, several of these phrase are used in Alcoholics Anonymous, including the serenity prayer. Awesome podcast!

Ok serious question... It's there anyone out there that will tolerate someone who has 100s of questions?... My stepdad is a pastor of his own church, my dad is a music minister/pastor and my ex mother-in-law (still a good friend) is also a pastor. No one has ever gotten past maybe 2 of my questions about the bible/blind faith. I've always wanted to speak to someone who has patience and knowledge enough to have conversations about this with me. I question everything, always. This goes for literally everything, from how mechanics work, why trades are done certain ways, how to make things easier and better to do etc. I like knowledge, true knowledge. Most of the answers I've gotten about religion are general vague comments ie. God works in mysterious ways, The best prayers are unanswered ones, There's a reason for everything etc. ... It's hard when the people who say they were sent to speak knowledge can't. I want to make it clear that I'm not a disbeliever, I just question everything especially when things don't make sense.

Loyalty is what God expects from His children! Faith, trust and commitment and persistence is our responsibility as Christians towards our Heavenly Father, our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus and His Holy Spirit. I practice daily not to sin against my Heavenly Father because I fear Him and don’t want to disappoint Him and fail Him😇❤️

He is right to say that we do not have to do but we need to understand that God did not put more on Job than what he could bare because God knew that Job was going to be loyal to Him! Job was hurt, disappointed, confused of what was happening to him but he never turned his back on God. This is why God bragged on His servant Job to the devil. If God knew that Job could not handle what was done to him- God would not have chosen him 😇

No no forgive and forget you don't want to forget anything you forgive and remember to protect yourself or to bless just because you forgive somebody for something doesn't mean that you forget it that's called gullible somebody pulls a stupid prank on you and you get hurt and they laugh about it and then you forgive them and you forget about it and the next thing you know you're healing up from the next one

A minute 7:29 seconds he talks about being on a borrower or a lender B Be neither is that what I'm hearing but that's not what it says it says in the Bible that you know if you've got enough and you can lend it to somebody or give it to him you know but Jesus was talking about the talents and abilities you don't want to squander them so A lender of abilities when you give advice you're lending of your abilities for people to learn and not pay for it and you're really wanting others to do the same so we are to lend we are to you know make things available but we're not to be borrowers we're not to be tied in with man or to be free but yet able to give the word of God out and so be not a borrower or lender be I may be taking this from the wrong angle so that's just anybody wants to correct me on that please do so thank you

The meaning of let go and let God is ego let go of that ego thinking you're all yourself in a bag of potato chips and believe God but the phrase does not do it justice so that's what you're talking about you guys explain that one a little bit before when you've had enough you have to give in in that phrase right there is interesting it's not giving in it's giving God his proper place instead of us trying to play God

I saw this shirt that said Love Is Love so I did a little comparison a bicycles just a bicycle a car is just a car a person is just a person now let's get back to the love oh the love I have for that person is just like the love I have for that person I don't know walking down the street oh well you would love them just as much as if you knew him maybe possibly not that's a hypothetical if we can get away from hypotheticals then we're getting back into reality Love Is Love is Straight From Hell sorry but it is
