The Soft Bulletin was my favorite album of 1999. Wayne Coyne is an awesome frontman. Last saw The Lips with Stereolab in 2019 a perfect double bill !

Hey Alex. Nice Purchase St. tee shirt. I’ve been rockin’ your tee shirt here in Victoria and people love it. Great Gallagher album, been a fan for years. Great concert lineup. “Disco Duck comin’ in” 😂😂😂. Great listening week buddy. Agree totally with your analysis of Traffic. Cheers.

Growing up in the '80's, "Life On Mars?" was only a cult/ fan-favorite song. I don't think it became more well-known, until the late 1990's. It wasn't on the 1976 "Changesonebowie" LP comp, or the 1981 "Changestwobowie" LP comp. Or the Rykodisc "Changesbowie" CD comp. I'm a David Bowie fan, and I barely knew the song, until "The Best Of David Bowie 1969/1974" CD comp, when I finally paid attention to it. And I was like, "Wow! What a great song".

Hi Alex! Dinosaur Jr were always too "noisy" for me. I have both of those Flaming Lips albums you showed but on compact disc. When I lived in Orange County I got really sick of hearing about Weezer. You would think they were the best band on planet Earth according to the Vans wearing crowd. Obviously not my thing. 😉 Excellent Sunday morning selection with Dave Brubeck. I bet Gary loves that album. 😂 I love Tom's Southern Accents. Excellent record. Excellent Traffic album too! Love it. ✌

Thanks Mike! Come to think of it.. you look like you'd fit in well with Weezer! (just kidding.. kind of). They have enough annoying songs to outweigh the good ones (like Beverly Hills), so I get it. Thanks sir!

Interesting that you had Flaming Lips and Weezer on this video because they are touring together and just played here in Seattle recently. I really like Flaming Lip's album "King's Head" from 2019. If you are not familiar with it, the album features Mick Jones of the Clash doing occasional narration of the storyline. The story is about a woman who dies giving birth to a baby with a giant head/brain. Eventually it dies and everyone climbs inside it's open mouth to live insde the brain and marvel at all the information it contains.
