In this episode of “what’s on the bench?” We try some more armouring.
We have previously made titanium duelling spaulders as well as some floating legs out of 304 stainless steel.
For this mini series we will be using 3mm CR4 mild steel with a 0.15% carbon content.
The patterns used were drawn in AutoCAD before being exported as a .dxf file for laser cutting. The plates were then laser cut.
We try to get some initial shape into the pieces on this episode.
