I've purchased the defender. Local hobby store had each model on display and I noticed the shocks were stuck upon first actuation, consequently i bought blue aluminum shocks for first upgrade. To my disappointment those are sticky also. Alot of pressure to break them free doesn't seem normal. Well, because of the nature of a high pinion axle, they're always going to do that when you try to spin from the hex. Rest assured, once on the truck and spinning from the driveshaft, that won't be an issue. If you do experience it still, I'd shim the pinion shaft on output side.
