What's On This Calf’s Foot? It Wasn't Good…

I'm not sure how this heifer calf was able to get this plastic ring slid up onto her foot but she did and it wasn't coming off on it's own. It would have cut the circulation off causing her to lose that part of her foot. Thankfully we had the right tools to get the job done.

Excellent job! I've had similar happen with the most random stuff. A little tranq and a shot of dexamethasone goes a long way, don't it? Of course, most times doing something like this turns into a cluster but y'all made it look easy.

Great video I'm sure things like this happen more then you think most people just don't show these things. Try to make farm8jy all strawberries and rainbows and that's not the case. Got an idea, there has to be a way to make those so they break when stepped on or disintegrate in moisture when out of the bale. Would make a nice patent. It probably isn't even needed since the rest of the tube is glued cardboard. That stuff is tough, but it doesn't hold up when wet.

Cattle can pick anything up , it’s amazing how tight anything can get around there feet. I had a cow this spring had wire and maggots , cleaned it out big dose of pennisillin she is good , great video!
