Food is usually the most important thing for me when I travel. Pondicherry food by foreigner is my experience video and I can tell you the food did not disappoint.

A I am born in former Yugoslavia. Mom is Serbian, Dad is Bosnian. During the '90's war we came to the Netherlands and I got Dutch nationality. I've lived in Amsterdam for 8 years but lost my heart to India. Since 2018 I'm based in Bangalore. See this video for my refugee story: bit.ly/2l17T9h
Q How can you afford to travel so much?

Q (Why) Are you vegetarian?
A I'm vegetarian but not strict. I don't eat any meat, fish, cooked/boiled or fried eggs. I gradually became a vegetarian over the course of 15 years because I disliked the taste of meat more and more. After doing a yoga teacher training in 2015 I also quit fish and the eggs. No matter my food preferences I have no issues with other people not being vegetarian. I don't judge others and kind of expect the same favor from others concerning my own food preferences. It makes for a more friendly world :-)
Q Why do you usually travel alone?
A Because my friends have jobs with limited holidays, kids and partners. Also I really like exploring on my own.

Wow very different food video nd it ought 2 b after all u r in puducherry ...liked all the croissants (i dnt like the sugar coated nd chocolated filled ones)....agree with u abt macaroons in India nd in my opinion 5 star hotels which make gud macaroons are rare both in nd outside India (basically takin asia nd Australia into consideration bcoz europeans must b doin it better)...the texture is not usually gud at most of the places

Pondicherry resident, 2000-2005 one of the best experiences in my life (did business with old colonial furniture.... unfortunately by now, original pieces are gone!) please pay a visit to Mr Palany (Beauty old Funiture) on EC road he is a real passionate and is an experimented carpenter just mention you come on recomendation of Katya (Switzerland) - your NANDI is still with me!. I was in the old colonial furniture container business for 11 years and Pondicherry + Auroville were super important to fulfill the deals... sucessfully! A great thank you to all you fabulous crafters of Pondicherry and surroundings. This experience will remain in my mind forever.... even though I had to change professional orientation.... Thank you carpenters, exporters + Christy (if you read this message, you'll recognize yourself!) + Ramu (super chief carpenter at Aurorachana / Auroville) who always oriented us best to get the best furniture pieces and tought us about what we should know about wood and furniture! Plus Ramu, I now have to say..... Your a genius also for container loading management.... if you read this message, please give me some news. Katya (+Manu) at the time!

Kozhukattai is nothing but indian momos. There are many varieties with sweet stuffed, savoury stuffed and the one mentioned here is basically rice balls from broken rice grains. They are cooked similar to a rice Upma and then made into balls and finally steamed to get the texture and to get properly cooked.
