I'm Jamaican we all know the rivalry between the USA and Jamaica in the track & field world, but i must say she's one of my favorite athletes in the sport. She has a great future ahead just be supportive of her. We are only humans.

Thank you so much for this. I’m an american lifelong sprinter, and contrary to the belief of Jamaican fans, we are obsessed with our love for Jamaican sprinters and totally give them their props. It’s so hard for us to get that love in return from Jamaica, and the consensus seems to be that we look down on Jamaicans, but the reality is we totally feel Jamaican Sprinters have always been better than us, and we are not at all haters (we LOVE Jamaican Sprinters)! It feels great to have that love in return from you…thank you!

Once Shacarri makes the necessary adjustments, she will be unbeatable. 2028 will prove my statement. I am still a big fan. Go Shacarri!
@stevie5864 күн бұрын
ShaCarri is gonna get the world record. I see so many flaws in ShaCarri’s race, and she’s still running this darn fast and has a higher top speed than FloJo…that’s insane! She’s definitely getting better and better, and she really did fix her start, as shown in PreFontaine 2024, BUT, she clearly had setbacks. Something weird is going on with ShaCarri and I think them trying to make her look more polished may be decreasing her heart rate, or something…I like the raw, aggressive, unapologetically flashy ShaCarri. Too much changing personality also changes performance, and I don’t like them shaming her for being a black girl. When she fixes some of these small things, it will be impossible for anyone to keep up with her…it’s coming along, though, and she’ll get there.

Shacarri Paid no attention to the haters you are a phenomenal athlete and everybody has a bad day so don't take it personal keep your Head to the sky put your faith in God and you'll be all right baby

As a track & field content creator you know too well that mentioning Sha'Carri will bring you viewership. Richardson lost some races and won some. A silver medal at any Olympics is a huge accomplishment, i am so proud of her. On other hand why not put all the focus on the current Olympic gold medal winner? Give her some props too and let Sha'Carri be.

Being a FINALIST at the Olympic or World Championship is an excellent achievement for the athletes. It is just the time for it - everyone has their moments and we cannot change that but, ask Jehovah God to take us ALL through issues victoriously. Thank you, Lord Jesus for giving us hope after every storm - full recovery for them ALL in Jesus name.

I remember having some obstacles in my way but I realized that I had to look beyond the obstacles.obstacles is good for your growth because you would have to expand the borders of your mind by changing the way you think and figure out how to get pass the obstacle that is hindering you .i refuse to allow any obstacle to stop me because I will make that obstacle do what it is there for and that is to make me rise to the occasion it sounds like i will be going to a new level because it will be the stepping stone to launch me to a level like never before.

Another thing I coached my kids in track and I had to work on them to get their starts better all you need to do is put a rope across the first 10 yards and try to maintain staying low until you hit that rope and you'll see your starts will get better because I know you're the best I've been watching you for a long time
@LifeissuesDLY7 күн бұрын
It depends on the angle. Staying low is not the most crucial aspect of the start; rather, it’s about having the right angle. Many people are overly focused on staying low at the start, often overdoing it, which ends up costing them time. Instead of fixating on staying low, I would say it’s more important to find the angle that feels most comfortable and allows for maximum explosiveness. Athletes like Flo Jo, Gail Devers, and Ben Johnson didn’t stay particularly low in their starts-they found the right angle that worked for them and delivered power. When it comes to Shacarri I feel like she is too focused on her start and she needs to work on it and at the same time think less of it in her races. I often feel like the moment she is focusing on having a great start are the moments she gets the worst start. Good start should be a natural reaction almost an instinct and not something you have to think about when lining up.
@AlJD-e6d7 күн бұрын
@LifeissuesDLY well I believe that we both have a good perspective of what she needs to do she needs to be a little more natural less thoughts because whenever she puts the thought out of her mind she's very explosive I believe there's something that she can figure out between the two of us that would help her she just needs to get people out of her head and do what she does best explode and win.

I don't think so she still have it ,her slow start is her problems just take time out and deale with it been on top on track and field it not easy when the end of the season you take 4 months of and take it easy get in back in top shape is a change she don't have foot problem she is good just buttle down and do some serious training but her body to the test you think beating Shelly and jacker in the hundred last year was easy and she brake bad , I think braking bad in that race set her up for the finish because she stay away from the blasting fifty on she was out side no one seemed her a perfect timing she still have it a good coach to bring her back

You guys have to learn to leave these young people alone. They have lives outside of athletics. Some have more issues than others. In the case of females, added to all their private situations, their very biologies can cause inconsistencies, particularly in sprinting. Quit being disappointed in them and check the discipline-to-success factor in regular people, including yourselves.

Videos like this are trash. I wonder what type of mind creates such garbage. If it's filled with things like "Appears to be" "Many fans suspect" and "Some suggesting", you are just insinuating something negative. No she is not overhyped, just under appreciated it appears. At 24 she's the 5th fastest woman of all time, World Champion & Olympic Silver medalist. I think she deserves a lot more respect. Usain Bolt always had a slow start and who talked about that? I'm not comparing the two, but didn't she set a record at the World Championships with 10.65 with that "slow start" At 24, she hasn't reached her sprinting prime.
