Except for traffic cameras at traffic lights, most other cameras are used to maintain public safety. They have two main functions: first, to warn people not to try to break the law, and second, to quickly check the surveillance and catch criminals when illegal activities occur. If there is no criminal activity, the surveillance camera will not be monitored.

Down at rhe metro is security guard not police. Most uniforms you met on the street are security guards. It's a common mistake first tome foreigners make. In China the concept of police is different from the west. Most of them are unarmed and can be helpful when needed. You will not be monitored. Maybe people will be curious about you but police will just ignore you because foreign tourists are not likely to cause trouble.

90% of the police you see are security personnel, who are only responsible for maintaining order and providing assistance. 90% of the remaining 10% are traffic police, who are only in charge of traffic safety. In fact, you hardly see the police officers responsible for crimes. In addition, China is one of the countries with the highest acceptance of video recording in the world, after all, we invented TikTok. So don't worry about filming, but please avoid filming in police stations, government buildings, and embassies.

Shenzhen is a very young city, only 45 years old. It was just a small fishing village next to Hong Kong when it was established 45 years ago. Now, it has become one of the four first-tier cities in China. There are no "locals" in Shenzhen because it is an immigrant city, attracting people from all over the country. This is why it is more inclusive and open than other cities, drawing in many young people to live there.

When you are in the central area of Futian, Shenzhen, it is difficult to find street food because the rent here is too expensive, but as long as you enter any shopping mall, you will find many restaurants inside. Depends on the type of restaurants, it is standard they bring you tea for having meals even if you don't want it, it is part of the culture. They bring it to you as soon you sit down, but you can always ask for something else to drink for a fee of course. Tea often comes with a very small fee when they bring you a jug like that and often can be refill. Is interesting to see this because it comes natural to the Chinese we never thought about it. Also know that China has no tipping culture, you pay for what you ordered, no need for tips.

That's Ping An Financial Ctr, the tallest building in SZ, and 2nd tallest in China. You didn't need to walk around so much to find the restaurants, they're right there next to the station that you got off underneath Ping An. It's not asparagus, it's called Choi Sum, the most common vege in southern China. 🤫

Shenzhen has a population of 18 million and an area of 2000 square kilometers. This is a very big city. All major cities in China occupy a large area. Regarding cameras, cameras are used in China to prevent crime and collect evidence of crimes. As long as there is no criminal intent, there is no need to worry too much. As for the police, in fact 80% are not police officers, but more security guards. They may be employed by companies or governments. In some places with a large amount of people or traffic, such as some scenic spots or road intersections, it is easier to see security guards. The uniforms and equipment of the police will be more formal, and they will only be responsible for criminal cases. Security guards are not allowed to carry firearms, and police officers are generally not allowed to carry firearms, except for a very small number of police officers responsible for dangerous tasks (such as anti-narcotics police).

Subscribed. Good content. I have been to China. Yes, their food delivery is just everywhere. I am really not sure how they can afford food delivery. It looks like they order takeaways just so often. We work hard in Australia but just no way to afford takeaways. It's even hard to pay rent and electricity here. Many people in Australia couldn't buy a small pack of tomatoes for 3 months. You can hardly see any delivery person on the street in Australia.

Yes, cost of living in Australia is bad. I haven't bought tomato for few month. Our family works hard too, we haven't bought a pack of strawberry for at least 5 month, I feel guilty to my kids.

Men in yellow are MeiTuan delivery man, MeiTuan is the biggest food order App. When you place an order on Meituan, it will show how many minutes it will take to be delivered to your office. If they do not deliver the meal within the displayed time, you can give a bad review and the platform will deduct their bonus.

Cost of living isn't high, even in big cities like shenzhen. Especially compared to a big city in America or Australia. I've been living in Shenzhen for more than 10 years. I make a decent salary, but most importantly I'm able to save 50% of it. This includes shopping, takeaway, restaurants, etc. Also a lot times, using takeaway apps is cheaper than going to the restaurant because of discounts and coupons on it.

You've overlooked the service provided by delivery robots. Once you become familiar with this service, you'll be as amazed as most tourists visiting China! Additionally, there are charging options available everywhere in China, so there's no need to buy a power bank. Try exploring this service, and you'll find it very convenient.
