What's really inside a TPS unit?

There are heaps of videos out there covering what a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) does, how it works, how it can fail, how to replace it & even calibrate it. I myself have done a few, but, when it comes to seeing actually whats inside & how it 'really' works, I haven't found much out there...
So, since I had an old, faulty TPS from a Chinese CFMoto 650 waiting to be thrown away I decided it would be useful to show you the kind of components that make up the unit, helping to build further understanding of the units and making it much easier to visualise the kind of things that can cause problems, not just moisture ingress.

Thanks for the video. I've had 3 vehicles from different manufactures that experienced a failed TPS. In all three cases, the engines experienced misfires that were sometimes quite extreme. No codes generated! My advice would be to change the TPS every 100,000 km or every 60,000 miles because they don't last forever even if well sealed.

Why not check the resistance again...root cause not found yet. Otherwise great video

Yep that's what I would do again, I'm trying to figure out what material in there could be superior to cheaper brands, everybody swears you have to use mopar tps @ around $90 when the auto parts stores are about $40
