One of these years I will remember to get in touch with you in time to get cuttings from you. I would really like to try the to guava cuttings that you mentioned here along with a couple fig varieries that you mention in another video.

Our Barbados cherry tree is still very small, hopefully we might have some fruit on it next year, thanks for the update and letting us know what it will look like soon! 😎

Year 2 is when you can expect BC fruit in my experience. Great addition!

I have a generic Tropical Pink guava going in it's 3rd summer. Fruited last August for the 1st time and covered in flowers buds currently. Do yours that fruit this early get a 2nd crop later in the Summer?

All my guavas produce a heavy summer crop. I have an 8-year-old generic tropical pink guava. It does produce twice a year for me but did not give me a great yield this month and does fruit mostly in summer. As your tree gets older, you likely will find that it will produce two crops. Tikal has been a beast with production over the years and the most reliable.

I was wondering. Does your tropical guava died in the winter? I lived in Houston and want to try grow it. What one you say you recommend.. the pink guava???

In my experience, the pink tropical varieties are the hardiest and can take down to mid-20s with no issue. The white, variegated, and Red Malaysian tropical guava types are more cold and frost-sensitive and nearly died on me when young. I would get a Barbie Pink or Tikal and plant close to a structure so it keeps a bit warmer. It should do fine in your zone 9 in Houston.

I have a question about the frequent irrigation system you applied... did it work so far? In terms of tree health and fruit quality

Yes; for sure! I will never go back to deep watering infrequently. I did do an update last year discussing whether it worked for me. It's called, "Frequent Irrigation Method Update | Success?"

It varies a bit with the weather but these are usually my earliest: Breba crop in May (LSU Scott’s Black, Pastilliere (Raintree), Nixon Peace, Galicia Negra) Main crop in June (Red Lebanese Bekaa Valley, Marseille Black VS, Chicago Hardy, Pastilliere (Raintree), Hâtive d'Argenteuil)

@@vicentegarcia7711 You are welcome! The trees usually go fully dormant in January. I do plan on selling cuttings Jan 2025. It's usually early January but I will make an announcement on the Etsy shop and here under my channel tab called Community a week or so in advance.
