Avg overall salary for an outside sales rep at United or Hertz rental is $85k annually. And you will earn every bit of this. You will be stressed to the max and your budget will only increase. Your manager will be on you and drive you nuts. You will be burned out in three years. This is why these positions are never career long.

I live in central coast California as a new account manager for a medium sized equipment rental company that has eight locations. I'm having trouble nailing the big fish because we don't have enough big equipment but the little fish just want small things like light towers .
