Happy Bday ☺ I use Sony A7RIV and A7RIVA, either one Camera with one or two prime Lenses or two Cameras with two or three prime Lenses. The good thing with a 61 megapixels Camera are that you have two Cameras in one Camera, 61 megapixels in full frame mode and 26 megapixels in APSC mode. I use only prime Lenses from 14mm to 135mm, 14, 21, 24, 35, 55, 65, 85, 110 and 135mm prime Lenses. If I take one Camera with one Lens, then it is either a wide angle Lens or a short tele Lens, one Camera and two Lenses will be a wide angle Lens and a short tele Lens, the same if I use two Camera, but then I sometimes have a third Lens. I always have one Camera in my hand and the other in a shoulder/sling bag. When I used 6x6 cm Hasselblad 2000FC it was most often with the Zeiss Planar 110mm 2.0 T*, in my early Photography years I did not use wide angle Lenses that often as I used short tele Lenses, I did have the excellent Zeiss Distagon 50mm 2.8 T* wide angle Lens.

ehh you should go outside and do few photo with the same scenery with all deffeent types and show to us and speak about oplus and cons. I really miss canon ixus 100s or similar point and shot cameras. Wish canon remade that little camera with little upgrade like better sensor, 3x optical zoom ( original) or maybe 5x if it is possible in that small devices but with much faster zooming hardware speed. Recording in 1440p 60fps and fullhd 60/120, better software to recognise scenery.

Great video. It’s nice to know about these smaller light weight options. Over the years I’ve had health issues that could have stopped me from shooting completely. I use to shoot Bronica GS-1 and Canon F-1. Due to an accident I lost the use of my left arm (temporarily I hope) also, tore the retina in my right eye (thru no fault of my own, it can just happen) which left me with 20/40 vision in my right eye. I’ve switched over to a Canon SL2. It’s light, small, has auto focus and I can easily shoot with just my right arm. It has allowed me to keep shooting which is most important to me. These smaller cameras can really be a life saver, so thank you for doing videos on them!

Happy Birthday King JVpes! I like the vibes on this video. I currently use an EM1 mkii with 35mm equivalent. Programmed the on/off switch to the function lever so it’s just a flick of the thumb. I don’t miss shots even if I’m holding something in my other hand. Getting the camera in and out of my hip bag is totally one handed as well. It’s totally clutch.

The only viable option Leica m11P with a 50mm noctilux🤌. Who needs shelter….. or food. On a serious note I really love my canonet. I think a leaf shutter or silent shutter is a great have. Also something a bit more stealth also helps(black and small is preferable).

Solid breakdown. It's helpful you mention cost per. I definitely believe for people who are just getting their feet wet, it's all about cheap gear. First thing you get is just for learning. Cheap prime, cheap body, beat the brakes off it! Miles logged is all that really matters. I shot Nikon, Fuji, and Sony. Eventually sold everything and moved over to the Leica M240 with 7A 35/2. Finally on rangefinder set up and it feels like coming home for the first time 🤙

My go is the Olympus 35RC- small, nearly no weight, rangefinder, very quiet shutter, automatic and manual and even AEL. And it does only need batteries for the lightmeter.

In the defense to SLR manual lens "throw" (and speaking as a 28mm lens user), it's actually pretty short. Infinity to 3ft is really a nudge on most manual SLR lens (at least for 28mm). Absolutely no reason for shooting 1-2 ft from a subject(s) in street photography unless you plan on shooting breath. Lol

This is such a broad subject. You could have talked twice as long and still have room to talk about things.l Street photography can be done with any camera. Many street photographers, including myself, like small & lightweight cameras. I prefer digital vs film. Film is expensive. The film, development, and printing. All necessary. No instant feedback. Digital is free after you buy the memory card. You see your images instantly. Then you only pay for the images you print. Any lens can be used for street photography. Zoom vs prime. Many street photographers choose a prime lens. They like the restrictions of a fixed focal length. You zoom with your feet. The most popular focal lengths are 28, 35, and 50mm. Some go wider at 24 & 20mm. Some go longer with 85, and 85mm. I don’t prefer fast lenses for street. Unless you are shooting in low light I prefer shooting between f5.6-8. In general, less bokeh is what I want. I want the entire frame in focus. Also, slower lenses are cheaper. Each type of lens have their pros and cons. Digital sensors. I like crop sensor cameras. M43 & APSC. Generally smaller and lighter than full frame cameras. Same with the accompanying lenses. The crop effectively multiplies the stated focal length. Almost all new cameras are digital today. Like many film bodies, older digital cameras are inexpensive. Older digital cameras are generally less feature packed. The watchword is good enough is good enough. There are choices, many times good choices, at different price points. Lenses don’t devalue as quick as bodies do. I just learned that cell phones have cameras. Who knew? They also do video. Amazing. An easy way to get started with street photography is go to a parade. Demonstrations, peaceful demonstrations are good too. Lots of people. They don’t mind being photographed. Take your photographs and then move on. You can also walk the street with another person, either a photographer or not. Most street photographers walk the street alone, at least most of the time. YMMV. I’ve said nothing and everything. There are tons of gear reviews and how to street photography videos on KZbin. Watch them. There are street photography books in the library. See what other street photographers have done. Go out and take pictures. Have fun. That’s what it is all about. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
