What’s the Best Ceramic Coating for Cars? Ultimate Ceramic Coating vs Beyond Ceramic Coating

I had a ceramic sealant from another well known manufacturer, but now I’m realizing the differences between a ceramic sealant and a ceramic coating. A coating is what I want. I’ll be buying this online as I can’t find it in stores.

Great content, however the multiyear coating needs to have a time frame. We know all the factors involved but feel like you're avoiding the real question. Would like to know the baseline of the durability. Love your products, but I wouldnt buy a product without that information. Thank you

Gents: Took delivery new 2024 Macan S two weeks ago. Used "Ultimate waterless wash & wax" last week, looks, feels really great. Having watched this video, tempted to buy "Ultimate Ceramic Coating'". Can I apply "Ultimate Ceramic Coating'" on top of the "Ultimate waterless wash & wax"? This will not impact the Macan S original paint from the factory in Germany? Please advise.

You would not want to put the Ultimate Ceramic Coating directly over the Wash & Wax but after several days and another good wash you might be back to a bare surface anyway. The only reason to apply a 2nd coat would be to cover a spot missed on first application. It really is designed for 1 application to be adequate. If applying a 2nd coat you would have to do so within 2 hours of the first or else the coating will reject itself.

Can I apply the Ultimate Ceramic Spray with a high quality ceramic applicator pad instead of spraying it on? I have a ‘22 WRX with lots of black plastic cladding and lots of glass. I use other products on those areas, so overspray of the Ultimate Ceramic could be an issue, especially since I detail my car outdoors and it’s been a breezy Spring season so far.

We really do recommend a good microfiber towel as it has a lot more surface area to both spread and pick up product. An applicator pad might get loaded up with product very quickly causing you to then have to pull out microfiber towels anyway.

The Ultimate Ceramic Coating while utilizing different chemistry and application method should perform similarly to the Hybrid Paint Coating. The M888 Beyond Ceramic Coating will outperform the others especially when it comes to longevity.

Does Quik paint detailer work with the C2000 clay bar? Can I use the same mitt for washing and Iron removal if I just rinse it throughly or do I need to wash it?

You can use Quik Detailer with the C2000 clay bar. You can also use the same wash mitt, but you do take the chance of creating swirl marks if the wash mitt picks up loose contaminants. It would definitely be best to have to wash mitts and wash your mitts inbetween uses. 👍

Hi! For almost 2 years,i used Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel,but i found this Meguiar's Nxt Generation Polymer High Gloss Tire Shine in a shop. My question is,should i buy this Nxt Generation or continue with the Endurance one. Which one is better? Or what are the differences between this two? I need to buy a new one because i only have one application left.

Not sure what specific NXT product you are referring to as that line has been discontinued now for some time. That being the Endurance Tire Gel may be the only one of the two still available. If you like the Endurance you may as well stick with it. It is a favorite of many.

We recommend it be used within 30 days once opened but if securely closed and stored in a cool/dry climate it could last longer.

Typically a coating would replace waxing and offers a superior protection. There is no requirement to also wax on top of a coating. Also, keep in mind that you will likely change the water beading behavior of a coating by putting another protection on top of it. Whether or not a particular paste wax is safe on vinyl stripes depends on the particular product and is something you would have to ask directly of the manufacturer.

While Hybrid Paint Coating is a great product the M888 Beyond Ceramic Coating is superior in nearly every way. It will offer better/longer protection, water beading, slickness, gloss, and chemical resistance.

Is the spray usable outdoors and under the sun?

It is not ideal to apply in direct sunlight but in theory, if the surface is still cool to the touch you would be fine. Applying to a hot surface could make for a more difficult application.
