I have had the AXIL GS Extreme for about a year. I could not understand how to use them at first and gave up. Watched several videos and even the AXIL instructional video but still couldn’t understand. I decided after about 10 months I was able by process of elimination how they actually worked. I use them on my walk daily now with listening to podcast and music. I have not tried them at the range yet. This is the best video I have seen on these earbuds. Had I seen this video a year ago I would have been using them much longer. I have worn out the Apple Ear buds, they are so easy to use. I have Bose over the ear noise canceling and they are very easy to use. Thank you for this video!!

It's worth experimenting with this if you're getting wind noise while wearing ear buds. Wear a light weight hoodie, pull it over your head to cover your ears. Chuck a cap over top and/or your headtorch strap to lock it all down. I've found this stops the wind whistling past the buds and the wind noise is eliminated.

One other issue I have run into for these in-ear type with the wire is getting snagged on trees or brush. I have other Bluetooth ones that are similar and they have been ripped out of my ear from a wire getting snagged on twigs moving through thicker brush. However, great review. It was very thorough. I will likely pick up a set of the AXILs for specific use cases.

When hunting can you tell the direction the noise is coming from with these?

You did an outstanding job in this review. Thanks. One question: do you know how well these perform in cold weather when wearing a stocking cap for warmth covering the ear? I deer hunt with a rifle in Maryland and West Virginia so it's not unusual to have some single digit days in my climber style tree stand. I'm constantly turning my head from left to right scanning the area and lots of times, due to being bunched up, the cap rubs on the collar of my hunting coat such that the cap might move on my head somewhat. Would this dislodge the earbuds? Or worse, slightly dislodge them such that the wearer isn't aware they are not in their proper place? Thanks, GG

I’ve had the hardest time with hearing protection. Mess up my left ear with a rifle that had a compensator. Only ever shot it at the range with hearing protection. Had no clue the concussion would be so bad.

Good morning. I am considering these ear pros for both the range and hunting. I intend on wearing them while waterfowl hunting. In duck blinds and standing in the river, I won't see an issue. However, I'm curious about a layout blind. Will they be okay wearing them with the wires in the rear or, is it possible to have the wires in front so I'm not laying on them or snagging them when I pop out of the blind to shoot?
